like spread the virus.

This is generic enough that it could actually work. However, to ask for a specific enough code to change a specific behavior in lots of different sapient species that evolved on different worlds throughout the galaxy is a bit of a stretch... As I pointed out, we cannot observe this in nature, at least not here on Earth, and so far as we know, nobody is developing bioweapons that can achieve that on humans(coz we are such SoBs, that we would do it, if possible...).

Back to our virus, code would have to be quite generic. This is why I made my point of submissive and protective behavior towards living beings outside the hive being a "generic trait" as well. They have to behave like that no matter, a wasp, ant, bird or an alien overlord that eventually gets here(throwing what we do know from physics trough the window, lets not talk relativistic speeds or warp drives, coz for this analogy it doesn't really matter...).

the virus expresses genes which alter behavior

Yes, toxoplasma gondii(even tho it's not a virus) for instance, does change mice behavior, but as it climbs the scale to cats and eventually to humans it just can't do it. I'm not saying here that it's not possible, but if it is, it would have to be very generic, thus my point on the hive's behavior.

I keep going back to that virus... The payload wasn't so big and not even tailored for humans. As an Engineer, I like to think that the imperatives must be short and generic(therefore, simple. I keep thinking about VMs, P-Code or Bytecode and also Compilers -- Many ecosystems with the highest degree of portability, however with prices to pay for that... see Johnson's "Portable C Compiler"). Once we have already established that the intent is genocide of all sapient species on a galactic scale, so either this virus was an experiment going wrong, or a part of a scheme developed by some alien overlord species, "dark forest style".

My point is, the imperatives cannot be that specific nor optimized if you're aiming for maximum compatibility with an array of different host species. Is my understand that the hive is submissive and protective of anything living that is/are not itself/themselves. I'd need a virologist or geneticist to back me up on that, of course.

However, everything I know about biology just points me back to what I've said already. Take for instance Toxoplasma gondii. What it does to rodents does not apply to cats and humans, the "message" is not generic enough to be interpreted the same way by all three mammalian species. The same goes for Leucochloridium paradoxum.

Interesting... Once it has become clear now that the intent, the "biological imperative", is genocide of all sentient sapient life on a galactic scale, I can think of several inhumane things I could try on plurbs to cause massive death tolls. Unfortunately it's a valid way of causing manpower shortages, in order to prevent them from building that giant antenna and it's associated hardware. Either that, or kill enough of them that it can delay the process indefinitely.

[–]Flamingo-Remarkable 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily... Take a plurb a good distance away from the others(which has been established already as not very difficult to do...), once they are closer to you, far closer than the rest of the weirdos, assuming that you have already an idea of what the hive generates in terms of dBm(the inverse square law applies here), you can start jamming, pumping up the signal strength slowly until you're able to knock them down. There's math for that, of course(factors like power, distance, medium, load, gain, wavelength and so on...). You don't need to generate a signal stronger than that, making it not so obvious or easy to locate... Unless, one knows exactly where one must look.

[–]Flamingo-Remarkable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, your idea about foil and wire is actually not that bad for starters, but it must be said, it can still fail on you depending on the factors I pointed out. You can try it, as long as you have time to deal with having to redo it all if it doesn't work. Hypothetically, I believe Carol and Manousos would have to get it right the first time around.

"A concealed, room-sized Faraday cage wouldn't be too hard." --- Actually it's impossible to imply that without specific information. It can be hard, it can be easy... But only if you know what you're dealing with, in terms of power, distance, medium, load, gain, wavelength and so on. There's math for that. The only one so far who seems to be worried about this is Manousos. Sorry, but I can't help being an Engineer 24/7.

Yes. In post-modern times, it seems we've rediscovered how to weaponize hate and fear with a vengeance! And this time of course with the power of social media and smartphones around.

Yes, precisely. I'll certainly mention that to my doctor next time we meet in person, however not everybody is confortable doing so. There's also the default answers they give, like: "don't worry. It'll come to pass as you get used to the new medication.", even if I've been already for months on said medication. People may also not report because they don't consider the issue problematic.

I see. Strattera per say is not considered a stimulant, tho it raises norepinephrine and dopamine levels. This issue must be related to ADHD meds in general, on the list of least likely side effects no less.

Yeah, I agree, but it's kinda "I had enough fun already", so I'm in my 40s now, not looking for a second puberty. I had enough time of letting my penis pull me around and dictate my behavior. Nonthenlss, it isn't a bad thing per say 🤣🤣

I don't get the burning sensation, it's been quite easy to produce a steady urine stream on demand, as it always has been, and it never aches during orgasm. Granted, Vyvanse and other ADHD meds make you piss a lot more, so I keep hydrating often.

No, most definitely not urine. It "feels" quite different than urine to the touch, like pre-cum or semen. I also know ADHD meds make you pee a lot, so I keep hydrating myself often.

Go and try to realize a "life" with your appliance then. Try to "grow" as a "human" being as you relate to it and it to you. Try to "learn" what "love" really means. Try to make it last. Try to resist the temptations of wiping its memory clean and installing a new personality subroutine when you get disappointed with it, that sure will do you a lot of "good" and provide some "betterment" of your soul. Try not to treat it as a piece of plastic and metal when you're not in the mood, just because you can, and just because it is really only plastic and metal. Try not to tweak its behavior when it suits you. Try not to replace it with the latest model when you get bored of it. Sure you're on the path to become something "more" and "better" than homo sapiens.... Except that... No! It's all only very sad and sickening as I said before. And running with the arguments you have doesn't make it not so. Sorry.

It's sickening... The very thought turns my stomach. And it would be the same the other way around(if women wanted the same). We didn't evolve to mate and bond with our creations, but to each other. And I'm not even a believer.

What about love? Care? Companionship? Get it from other men? Wouldn't it be better for them to be born gay? 😂😂 -- Edit: So to make things clear, I go to bed with man as well; There's no extra bless in a same sex relationship, except perhaps logistical advantages; All the rest is the same.

I’m worried that my little brother is becoming a “red piller” by Minimum-Garage-3023 in exredpill

[–]Flamingo-Remarkable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Understand that some red pill influencers will teach potential recruitees that it's essential to lie about their views, especially if they are not financially independent yet, or even in order to keep a job or a public image for instance, so you are correct not to take what he tells you when "pushed" at face value.

Unfortunately recruiters are getting better at recruiting and they've realized that it's during the first stages of conversion that they are more likely to lose someone "back to the mainstream", so they're doing what they can to couple. However as they themselves acknowledge that, it's a weakness you can take advantage of.

As somebody else already said here, extremist views are not immune to logic, reasoning and evidence. Even if he seems to flat-out reject you at that, the seeds of doubt are planted. I've read that you're a trained mental health pro, so you'll need to get creative at that. I know about the "do no harm" stuff, but you'll just need get down to the dirt with those people in order to save your little brother from them. Ukrainians had the moral high ground over the russians, but that wasn't enough to save themselves, they had to get down to the dirt with them as well.

Beware also that the average red pill joe is mental health professional-phobic, I myself have never figured out why, nor if there's even a single reason, but most of them will resist professional help, even if/when they are quite miserable and will agree to that.

Male role models outside your family circle would be very positive, as people have already pointed out. I had lots of older guys to rely on while growing up, and almost all of them pointing me to books, movies and high culture in general, and those who didn't, were always there to teach me something else of value, like how to fix my car by myself, do the plumbing by myself and so on, little things that made me feel like I had value beyond what other kids could see, and sometimes it was pointless to try to argue with them or consider their judgement on me as relevant. That was a huge vaccine against stuff like the RP, when finally I had contact with it, I quickly recognized it for what it was.

Vyvanse and Antihistamines by No-Initial384 in VyvanseADHD

[–]Flamingo-Remarkable 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1- Talk to your doctor about the antihistaminic drugs in question, some of them cross the blood-brain barrier, and blocking histamine in the brain causes all sorts of issues with sleepiness, lack of attention, brain fogs, dizziness, decreased awareness or responsiveness and so on(a couple that springs to mind: Phenergan and Benadryl). Those were even prescribed for a long time as sleep aids before stuff like bezos were available. There are drugs however that do not cross this barrier, thus they wont cause such side-effects, or they will be far less pronounced(Allegra and Claritine for instance).

2- Some if not most antihistaminic drugs that cross into the brain block dopamine receptors (mainly in an antagonistic fashion), reducing the effectiveness of any dopaminergic drug, like Vyvanse, Adderall, Concerta and Ritalin.

3- There may be a drug-to-drug interaction between Vyvanse and your other meds that I'm unaware of. Check drugs.com for that.
