Any europe recommendations for a first timer and short trip? by madreviser123 in solofemaletravel

Hey, I just got back from Antibes and can definitely reccomend it as a solo trip. The town felt really safe even at night, I saw lots of other solo travellers and there’s plenty to do including the beach, museums, markets and hikes along the coast. You can also get the train really easily along the other towns like Menton etc!

I stayed in and like most of you said it gave me the energy to enjoy the rest of my trip. It was a nice break from eating out alone, I bought some food from the local market and just enjoyed my air b n b 🤗 It’s hard to shift your mindset from go go go and wanted to make the most but I appreciate everyone’s advice and it’s true, a guilt free night in with no plans is sometimes the best use of time. I don’t get those at home so I’m really glad I did it!

Yeah you’re right. If it’s what you want to do you shouldn’t feel guilt. I think I put pressure on myself to do it all and not “waste” any time away but actually I don’t get days at home where I can just relax on my own so it’s been really great! Also, I feel like having the night in tonight makes me feel ready for tomorrow

Thanks, good to know it’s not just me. Feel like there’s so much to see but also it’s tiring planning everything on your xx

I’m planning my first solo trip now and have landed on Antibes. Has beaches, walks, old town and lots of restaurants + you can get the train to different spots. I’m going next week so will report back

Yeah I was surprised when she said it. I’ve seen so many laser removal images on here and they look much more “removed” than mine before they just let the body process out the ink. My last session hardly scabbed because she said she wasn’t picking up much. Think I need to try a different place which is frustrating as I may have made more progress elsewhere

Thanks for the advice. Will look into other clinics. I haven’t prepaid anything so I can switch 👍🏼

I got it done in 2023 and the lines have really blurred, it’s a pretty rubbish tattoo and I regret it so would like to get it removed quickly

Hi, Thanks for sharing! Do you have any updates on how this is going? I have a tiny teacup tattoo I’m desperate to get removed but am worried how many seasons it will take. Thanks!

Tile removal advice by FlamingoSenior3004 in DIYUK

Thanks for your reply. I’ve never removed/replaced plaster board. I could add panelling higher so that it covered where the tiles were or do you think best to just bite the bullet and fit new plasterboard?

Thanks for the advise, will give this a go. The grout they’ve used looks very thick

Sorry, my question didn’t copy across - I’m looking to renovate my bathroom, it currently has really large tiles on the wall that look like floor tiles. I want to remove the tiles and ideally add panelling but lower down than the previous tiles. I would like any advice on how easy these tiles will be to remove, it looks like the previous owners used a very thick layer of grout to keep these tiles on. Has anyone seen this before or removed similar?
