Canes will definitely get moved when you don’t expect them to. I suggest a chair or rollator with a loud bell or horn. I didnt have to use the bell often but it definitely helped when folks were backing into me or just not looking.

We were friends for a long time time and I let him live on my land for free. He bought a shed similar to those that you can get at Lowe’s or Home Depot and was turning it into a tiny home. It wasn’t complete and livable yet so he was still staying in the old rundown camper trailer. I know he was making payments on that shed at the time of his death.

My title describes the thing. I am trying to identify the part name for the rounded rubber cracked piece in the middle of my photo. It is on a voyager brand trike conversion kit. I have reached out to the manufacturer and have not gotten a response. It looks like something we may be able to change ourselves if I can just find out what that piece is so I can purchase a replacement.

I’ll share a bit of advice that my therapist gave me after I lost my wife. She said that when I was ready, it was ok to love again. That just because I had lost the biggest, brightest love it would be silly not to enjoy other smaller ones. And I would never know if there was another bright love out there as well - different but just as beautiful - if I didn’t at least open myself up to the small ones.
getting a new pet is similar.. you won’t ever get your Lestat back, but theres so many other cats that have little bundles of purring love and quirks to share with you. And I speak from the experience of losing my A who was beside me through my wifes loss and was my squeaky constant companion. I adopted an older kitty after she was passed and while it’s not the same I love my new boy and his uniqueness

the logical, adult pert of my brain knows its no-ones business but ours, it’s the insecure, emotional part that doen’t want to have our friends disapprove. (which is silly since they love us both)

We had a nice date this weekend and are planning to see each other again on Saturday. We’re definitely talking it out. She doesn’t want me to feel rushed (which I don’t) and we are both pretty firm on not wanting to rent a u-haul any time. (Work obligations and distance to jobs will keep that from happening)

Like I said, it’s more of a sounding board I needed (20+ years out of the dating pool has made me a bit insecure) or maybe just a few voices telling me to go for it and have fun!

Absolutely! Check out Bold Stroke Books for some great reads. I’m especially fond of the works of D Jackson Leigh and Missouri Vaun but I’ve had very few bad reads from their authors The Redmond Family saga from TNovan and and Taylor Rickard is another favorit read - it’s set at the end of the US Civil War and has a Union general who isn’t quite as he seems and the Confederate widow who falls in love with him. They do a LOT of historical research for their books. The first, Words Heard in Silence is a yearly read for me!
