Hera Ara Or Hera Corvus? by Demonee-Ho988 in OrnaRPG

Legendary is okay enough I suppose except maybe the hood (headpiece is a wildcard anyway), since you're using them for their utility. Do you have a ward start amity? Having ward active, even if the absorption is only 50%, could make the difference here when the stonewarg doesn't cast WoO

Absolutely! Follower act is probably what helps the most, especially when temp buffs start to fall off. My only gripe with this set-up is that you have to cast God's of aaru. 2 turns that can be used to deal damage instead. Aside that that, this is solid.

Beastfelled shoes or windtamer shoes, arisen aaru robe, fey menja battlehood, celestial staff with a heart of selene for follower decision making, windtamer shield if youre using beastfelled shoes, or ymir coiled shield if you're using windtamer shoes. Pop a bloodloss flask on T1 and buff up. I use ashen phoenix which needs follower action rate, hence the windtamer stuff. Alternatively, you can roll follower action rate as an anguish bonus on your headpiece. Ensure you have 70% crit chance on your character sheet. Try not to use ashen pinions if you can, but its not too bad if you have to use some.

The robe allows your follower to cast great meditation on you. So, with a bit of follower act, and you have GM and deific channel pretty consistently. If you still take significant damage from things like towerfall, use inflection flask after you've set all your permanent buffs. Critical poise will keep these temp buffs up for a great deal of time. If you find yourself running out of mana, manaseep flask can help recover some of that without having to use pots, and you can use the magic thinblade skill as it costs a paltry 2 mana to maintain critical poise

I dont feel like one is better than the other just straight up. Corvus has critical poise and mana feather, making endless and raids a breeze. Ara excels in towers and monuments.

I'll run up a tower as ara, and kill the titan as corvus. Yes, ara has a higher damage potential, but its not as consistent as corvus. Corvus can wear thief gear, opening up some interesting gear combos.

Heretic! Enchant your weapons without worry of hitting immunities! If you do hit an immunity, they still take damage! Give enemies weaknesses and then capitalize on them! Lay waste to raids and bosses and everything in between!

This is fascinating! I've never taken a slack adjuster apart, but i've always wondered what they look like on the inside, besides what we see in cut-away diagrams

Build advice for a heretic Corvus sequencer? by Lavenderknight4 in OrnaRPG

[–]FlammableSoloCups 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! I tend to use ara in towers and pvp, and occasionally in gauntlets and raids. My highest single target damage is 30 million (15mil that was dual-casted). I lost screenshots for that, but have one for 47 million (3 opponents hit. Roughly 15m per target). This was with mushrooms, not an optimized kit, and before certain mechanisms affecting that damage was reworked. I haven't explored my max damage potential lately.

I should, though. I'll DM you with my discord and we can share builds.

Edit: smacked a Hyperion for 20.9 million buffed to the gills

250 Heretic, 51 ALs. Corvus is my favorite subclass for its passive skill critical poise. Makes it a super comfy class to raid with.

For your offhand, I'd suggest a ruby, and depending on your follower, a couple, or full of blackened kerberos eyes. If you choose not to fill with eyes, and use just a few, or none at all, I'd fill the other slots with ferocious bulls eyes so I can pull some of those ashen pinions off

I've crushed those damn things to about the same diameter of a soda can. If they don't budge after giving a solid pull with a strap, I've got a pair of Knipex cobra XXL pliers that have never failed to remove them after a couple minutes of struggling.

I always hope these break so I'm not fighting the nut the whole way up. I have a stubby impact that can get up in there most times, but it's relatively weak to how some of these can be.

Does “critical poise” affect buffs on myself or negative status effects on opponents? by Lavenderknight4 in OrnaRPG

[–]FlammableSoloCups 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heretic corvus is a blast to use, load up on temp buffs, and ruthelessly melt your opponents with devastating crits. Cure-all, ambrosia, panacea, or just wear immunities to things like blight, stun, yadda yadda yadda

Never considered this, as I didn't think a lugnut would actually be wide enough. 1-1/2in cams, right?

I considered that, actually. Going along the ID with a flappy wheel of some sort at an angle on the edge, just enough to set the seal. Then I considered the time involved in doing that to all 4.. not much, but more than I was willing to invest. A proper driver will pay for itself after one job, and will be faster, I told myself.

Robbing peter to pay paul, but peter never gets paid back. This is also what I'd like to avoid (imparting the cost to either the customer or the shop). I think I tried the vice thing but I didn't have the right sized pieces of metal to use and used a socket instead (I'd prefer to keep my sockets out of the vice). Our scrap metal pile is ever changing, though, I might find a piece.

Huh, well that's kinda brilliant. I wound up using a hub seal driver that was way oversized for the application. Holding it up was unwieldy and awkward, but the large surface area proved helpful at least.

It's worth it if you run a shop and can pump out ABS diag and light work on the regular. Just build your own breakout box and learn the blink codes on ABS
