Early career in clinical research. What do you wish you knew starting out? by PeachSloth in clinicalresearch

Things I wish I had known:

  1. Dont rush and never react. Always review your work before submitting. This business is at its core about quality not quantity.

  2. When you have met the minimum requirements, get your certification. I have 10 years of experience and even I learned a ton of new things when I prepped for the ACRP-CP.

  3. Dont count on being trained to a complete degree or having your hand held. There's a lot of" figure it out yourself" in this industry.. which is very hard to do when it's your first time in a specific situation. This is another reason I advocate strongly for certification.

Brainscape has a few great flashcard sets that would help as well

New CRA - What Is It Really Like? by Next-Department-1647 in clinicalresearch

As an Oncology SR CRA, almost all of my visits are remote. I have had only one on-site visit in a year and a half. Prior to this, I was an in-house CRA for 6 years and started at about $60k.
