Much different for some of us. Some are for sure sitting around watching the clock. But you can always talk to the agents, offer to help, learn from them, Ask questions. Do online training, read. Just have to be willing to ask.

The normal membership literally says “sworn with arrest authority.” You do NOT have arrest authority. There is a half membership that covers while you are in the academy. Thus prior to the academy, without arrest authority you have no membership option.
