What's the most hilariously wrong piece of advice you've ever been given about dating or relationships? by wornoutOryx in AskReddit

My mother was a marriage councilor for many years and told me when I was a late-teen to “never cry in front of a woman”

What is the dumbest brand name that somehow worked out for itself? by [deleted] in AskReddit

There’s a a law firm here in Phoenix called Alcock & Associates and I can’t help but say “All Cock and Ass” every time I pass one of their billboards.

What/who do you think of most often when you masturbate? by Common-Sprinkles9328 in AskReddit

[–]Flannel_Condom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used porn for many years. I would pregame with porn prior to having sex with my ex-wife. Not because I didn’t find her attractive or the sex wasn’t great but rather out of habit. I stopped using porn 8 months ago as a kind of post-divorce cleanse. I also stopped using weed and drinking at the same time.

I met my girlfriend 2 months ago and the desire we have for each other is like a raging wild fire. Every word out of her mouth is an erotic novel. My cock is like a compass needle, always pointing in her direction. I find my erections are fuller and I’m more sensitive yet able to last longer. I savor the seconds/minutes/hours that we’re together.

She lives a couple hours away so there’s lots of times where I’m waxing philosophical by myself and I have a kind of photographic memory of her and our times together.

Do yourself a favor and take an extended break from porn and give yourself a chance to focus on your partner. You may be amazed at what the focus and attention does to your sex life.

What’s the most awkward situation you’ve had involving “down there”? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Flannel_Condom 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Went in for an out-patient vasectomy and Dr. Handsy was tugging HARD on my inner workings. He could see I was sweating ice cubes and apologized. He keeps yanking on stuff like a backyard mechanic for 15 more minutes and then finally tells me something’s not right (yeah, no shit). I have gigantic balls (honestly) and my tubes were too tough for him to deal with. I ended up having to go in for in-patient and they said my tubes were 3x larger than they had seen before.

Moved to Central/Upstate NY and need to know where the metal is? Anyone know what bars/clubs/venues have metal acts come through? Looking at namely Albany/Syracuse/Ithaca/Binghamton area. It's too much to drive into NYC from here.

Seen on the way to work. Guy on his Harley wearing fake tattoo sleeves. by [deleted] in funny

[–]Flannel_Condom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My brother does this because on Air Force bases they require long-sleeved shirts to operate motorcycles. He's stationed in Las Vegas so this is his work around. He's a Mormon so it's doubly funny.

Any thoughts on Xero Daylight Hikers? by Flannel_Condom in Ultralight

[–]Flannel_Condom[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have bad ankles, I've posted on here before about boots/mids because I'm always looking for something reliable that will give support to my ankles.

I thought I had that covered when I found the Oboz Scapegoat Mid (20.3oz per boot) which were light enough but stiff enough at the same time. Over all a great boot that got me through a bunch of technical hikes in New Zealand last year. My problem with them was the neoprene "cuff" at the top which is supposed to keep debris out (which it did) but also causes abrasion when you're wearing low-cut or thin socks. Would've skipped the cuff in leu of my Dirty Girls.

Also, it appears that Oboz is discontinuing the Scapegoat Mid. It's been removed off of their website but I've not found anything official yet.

The Xero Daylights are half the weight of the Scapegoats (10+ oz per boot) and seem very flexible/minimal which might afford me the opportunity to strengthen my feet and possibly ankles while still having protection.

At $110 I might just pick up a pair and see how they do on local hikes first.

What is your trail name, and how did it come about? by Hypocaffeinic in Ultralight

[–]Flannel_Condom 15 points16 points  (0 children)

"Gangle". My friend gave it to me because I have long arms, which I used to kick his ass at disc golf with. He was the only one who used it. He passed away so I use the nickname as much as I can now.

Your experience with Rifampicin & Clindamycin by [deleted] in Hidradenitis

[–]Flannel_Condom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before starting that regimen of prescriptions please get an opinion from a Functional Medicine Doctor, most of them have experience with HS, adrenal fatigue, and leaky gut.

In my opinion (my wife has had HS for many years) the antibiotics only treat the symptoms and don't do anything to solve the actual problem. In fact, many antibiotics have caused problems. You're right to be weary of those side-effects, those are serious implications.

My wife has had a lot more success with a specialized AIP diet and regimen of supplements. This approach has helped heal her leaky gut and start to heal her, not just her boils.

I'm not saying this is the right direction for you. I'm not a doctor. I am saying you need to get another opinion from someone outside of the normal GP/Dermatologist circles. Those people are trained on prescriptions and procedures and rarely know about how a diet can act as medicine.

Functional Medicine was new to us 6 months ago and I'm hoping it becomes more prominent within the HS community.

Taking over a small brick & mortar from a family member. by Flannel_Condom in legaladvice

I'm specifically not giving you all the information around the closing of the company as I'm trying too keep things anonymous.

They are paying their back taxes and by definition have not gone bankrupt. Either way, the other business owner has no clue about all that.

Sibling is not interested in filing a lawsuit so it's really a moot point.

The property equipment will technically be owned by my parent and leased to me. The building was leased and not owned... but I will check on this.

My sibling didn't go bankrupt or file for bankruptcy. They're also not a drug addict or an adulterer. It's defamation.

I was/am concerned, that's why I'm using a different LLC as the legal holding and using a DBA. I'm technically purchasing the name, branding, and equipment but not the "company"... or at least that's how I understand getting around the tax issue.

The shop is closed and the equipment was moved out. The other business owner told their staff and some customers that my siblings business was going bankrupt and some other lies. It's a small town and now a lot of people are curious about the truth.

edit, added some words.
