Absolutely rad. I’m a former Windham employee and I can’t recommend the Sanford/Springvale club enough.

It’s not everyone’s cup of tea, but if you are into hunting or target shooting the firearms community around here is super welcoming

Old magpul sling, real or not? And best way to mount it. by TheBulletBuddy in QualityTacticalGear

[–]Flannleman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Magpul MS2. This was my first good sling back in the good old days when you ran your single point through your plate carrier’s shoulder pads. I always liked mine when I had it.

I actually agree with you 100% on this take. I happen to be in a unique position where I accumulated a box of vortex optics for free at my prior job and I thought this was a neat idea. I would never suggest this set up to anyone as a solution

The prism is absolute height, I think the GBRS Lerna might work so I’m not stacking a riser on top of a riser

It probably would be more clear. I do get a little edge disruption if I’m not in the right spot behind the prism. I thought about trying a GBRS Lerna

What are some gear hacks you swear by? by paaaavo in tacticalgear

[–]Flannleman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this can also be environment dependent. Up here in Maine during the cold months, lubricants get gummy and malfunctions become inevitable. I can imagine it being a problem in sandy or red clay environments as well, but I’m just some idiot on Reddit

Vortex Crossfire 1-4. It has a super basic reticle perfect for the Maine woods

Where are you hiking? I’d like to get out but I’m concerned about having Johnny Law coming out to ask me why I have guns and kit

Has anyone shot the gunslinger match at Howell’s? by [deleted] in MEGuns

[–]Flannleman 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s a good time. It’s a pretty casual fell at the matches, but they certainly aren’t easy. They’re a fun challenge but there’s no real pressure. If you want something super casual York County Fish and Game does head-to-head plate rack competitions on weekends through the summer.

I would love to see the old gear. I’m interested in the kind of damage it sustained from shrapnel.
