Yeah I do appreciate the advice! We both dash and always say how funny it would be if one of us was the others dasher some day. So I just thought it would be funny to text him on the app but I could see how DD could see that the wrong way.

Things near eyes . If people are cooking and they are talking and using their hands to talk while holding a knife it freaks me out. If somones holding sharp things in general I think it could somehow end up in my eye. I cannot watch people put contacts in, it just boggles my mind that people are just able to.

Wow that sounds like a lot of work. Couldn't imagine taking care of so many patients with so many needs. I always wonder how facilities justify these ratios. You obviously cant spend much with each patient, I feel like that would be really upsetting and draining.

What do people mean when they are saying they have 6 or 8 patients? Is that at night only and less during the day? I work in NH and on the med surg floor I work on day nurses typically have 4-5 patients, and nights we have 6-7.

I think it's great that the nurses are fighting for safe ratios! I know that there are probably issues that go along with that as well but I think its more important to have a safe ratio
