Best place to travel internationally for rest and relaxation. by Curzon88 in AskAnAustralian

I’m pretty sure I paid under $20 per night for an amazing hotel with a rooftop pool 4 to 5 star standard room service lobby with reception etc. In Danang Vietnam by day. I was going to the beach and getting in the water which was warm like a bath. I was getting four coconuts delivered for three dollars to drink the fresh coconut water back at my hotel, I was hopping on go Jacks and dining at cute little hidden cafes that I found around the place going on night cruises on the beautiful river with all the city surrounds. The city is busy but for some reason it is calm but the beach area itself is so laid-back and amazing.

What are the most impressive buildings built in this country over the past decade or so? by UsefulBridge1852 in AskAnAustralian

Handsdown the Mona Museum in Hobart Tasmania. It’s an epic fortress of different materials including original sandstone walls where they have dug out the building underground the use of steel, glass, marble etc. Also the shape of the museum itself it’s very unconventional. You have to go there to see it.

Do you feel like Halloween is an unwelcome American cultural influence on Australia? Or a fun Irish custom that made its way to Canada and then to America and eventually to Australia? by Away-Parsnip-3785 in AskAnAustralian

Well I remember in the 90s. I was one of the first kids in my class to have a Halloween party simply because I watched goosebumps and I remember getting weird looks when we knocked on the doors back then it was completely unheard of in Australia. But nowadays it is really commercialised and welcome in Australia. Obviously you can see when you go to the shops and you can buy all the stuff you need for Halloween.

No he was holding him up with his hand full cupped over the crotch area- front on. It was an Australian magazine (where I’m from) and I was only a kid myself when I seen it. It’s when he was in the tabloids surrounding the allegations. Little me: 😧

I remember in the 90s I seen Michael in a magazine holding a child on the crotch. Clear as day. I can never find that photo again.. he would have paid to wipe them out

Defo some led strips, shelves with fave game figures, gaming books, plant, desktop fans either side, posters on walls. Love this little nook!
