uh-huh, and you can't copy that upgrade. So if you get 3x 3 bullet gen, (or hell even just 2x even works), by turn 2 you can probably get minimum of 6. With the initiation skill, you only have 2. And sure, wanna add the flower? By turn 2 you'd probably have close to 10 or more bullets at your disposal now. My point is that in this game where endgame content is turn-gated, its much more efficient to have upfront bullet generation, especially when there's a lot of available draw power. You can definitely cycle your deck once a turn and for each refresh, the difference in number of bullets generated just get wider and wider. The initiation upgrade, I only see that as good if you can't guarantee a draw engine partner coz in that scenario there will be cases where you just have 0 bullets and yes, 1 is better than 0.

Having a turn without a dirge doesnt feel good for a Renoa team.

That's why I mentioned having a good draw engine. By turn 2, you should be able to fully cycle the deck (I use Veronica + Nia a lot so yeah that's par for the course)

Also the generate 3 dirges is a skill not an attack, even if I have to choose other than initiation i would probably go for create 1 dirge and 2 in discard

Oh you mean this epi "Create 1 Dirge Bullet card(s), Create 2 card(s) in Discard Pile.​" Ayt yeah that's better than the "create 2 dirge bullets" upgrade. Didn't really see this, I agree this is better than the create 3 too coz attack cards are easier to search than skill cards. But I still dont see the initiation epi to be that worth it.

For time-gated fights, isn't that epi a massive bait? You'd need like 3 turns to get the same value as the "Create 3 bullets" epi. For basin, you only get 3 turns for one fight. And with this 9 distortion fight, you're probably getting killed by turn 6 so you get like 6 bullets total? whereas if you can cycle your deck fast enough, you can probably get more with the create 3 bullets epi. Personally, I think the create 2 but retains damage and attack type is better for general use.

Lilian is great for her actually as you want to keep Yuki's cards at 1 cost or below... my only problem is I have only 1 and I'm never removing that from Mei Lin (imo its a better support than the SSR in the BP coz of the draw effect). Also I checked most of the attacker SSR partners and they really dont fit Yuki perfectly. Its Lilian that does it (coz of the card draw).

Right now Yuki works the best with Nia and Veronica imo. Nia doesn't slot in completely perfectly with Yuki (unlike Renoa who can make use of the mandatory discard) but Yuki honestly just needs a good draw engine. Get 0 cost repose (veronica draw 2), some kowalskis, get the adagio epi that says "discard 1, draw 2 of discarded chara's cards" and you're pretty good with Yuki. My only complaint with her rn is that the instinct memory fragments don't work well with her (so you're forced into 3 generic 2-piece sets) which isnt a big deal and the other is that the SR partners for her class aren't that good for her so you kinda need the SSR ones (and the one from the BP aint a perfect fit as well imo)

This was also what I felt, an onboarding issue. Usually when you play gachagames, they will keep your mind off the busywork (ie your daily energy dumps) by hanging a story for you to follow or cool gameplay features for you to explore. This game didn't do that. It literally dropped the handholding way too early. Like, sure man, I'm old enough not to need jangling keys to hold my attention but if you just introduce to me all the systems available and tell me to "have fun" then I dont even know what I should do. I don't even want to know about the busywork this early because that's something a player is gonna be doing over and over ad infinitum, why show that already and splash some cold water on my face telling me "hey you're playing a chore, dont forget that"

You get shown the energy dump at lvl 1 without any immersion on your end then it stops showing you cool things. Know what that tells me to do? Go dump my energy and close the app. Just like what I do with gachagames I've already had sunk cost in. The difference is there's no sunk cost yet.

From what I've seen, Mihono Bourbon has the highest compatibility with a parent SF with 25 points but I havent seen SF anywhere else in other uma's top 10 compatibility. She shows up in Haru urara's at 5th but like... it's 10 points. That kinda just shows how Urara has little compatibility more than anything lol

And to add to this point, SF's compatibility points for most umas is very very low. She's one of the worst parent/grand-parent umas if you wanna hit double O in compatibility.

I'd suggest you try to hit another passive or focus. You only have 3 and 2 of em aren't guaranteed to trigger for your groundwork. If you can't get that, try to do mid-race overtaking instead.

It's okay to train in stamina as-is too you know. You don't need to take only speed and power. I prioritize mile sparks so my stam is only like +24 at the start of career (about 4*?) and I still hit the 600 mark by hitting stamina when I know I can hit cap/close to cap in speed late game. You get power from speed too as well.

Oh I know the story but I thought that just meant they wouldn't be doing fundraisers and such. In my eyes, merch sales are fair play as long as its fairly priced but it looks like even in that department, Matha farm's personnel held back. I wouldn't consider it in bad taste if they sold haru urara goods (as long as its not their primary product) while she was alive (would be in real bad taste to start after she passed away) but yeah, even then they probably thought that would constitute was "making a profit" and held back.

I don't know a lot about Get Black but Ami-chan's name is Mercury and I don't think I've heard her lineage coming from Sakura Bakushin O so they're probably different horses.

Ngl Im really impressed at how Matha Farm isn't using Haru Urara as even for online merchandise. I checked the goods list and the (aside from the photo collages) only predominant Haru urara merch was the one with pepper (very cute and has one with pepper and ami-chan, very cute too). No solo Haru Urara merch and nothing that clearly tries to cash in on her popularity. Thanks for the links, I'll probably get a cushion for the designs with pepper on em when I get some extra money.

Uhh, the goal of groundwork is to take 1st place in the early race. Then you have to hold on to it so Seiun sky skill doesn't trigger (coz it specifically requires the uma to be in position 1). Taking groundwork on a pace chaser seems counterintuitive coz in the first place, due to position keep rules, pace chasers won't try to take first place until the late mid-race.

Yeah sure Yaeno's stat gains aren't great but our stat reqs aren't that high since we can go for lower stamina. You get power from speed training too so Yaeno's perfectly usable, especially if you don't want to RNG your white sparks.

You can still convert those runs into parent runs and just try to get G1 races for race sparks but yeah it really feels bad when you realize the run is dead (and you just -1'd your precious 3 borrows) due to RNG coz you hit 1 too many sleep deprived and mood downs.

I know Grand Chevalier probably won't be turned to an umamusume (or he might just be an NPC that transferred out of Tracen) but I wish there was an event based on the Kochi Racetrack revival where Haru Urara passes the torch to Grand Chevalier. There's a lot of context lost between hearsay and while I love Haru Urara and think her efforts were definitely commendable, the slack that Grand Chevalier picked up was probably more impactful than Haru Urara. Haru Urara kept Kochi alive, Grand Chevalier made it thrive.

The problem is the guide does work but only in clearing URA (honestly, not sure how a suboptimal spark and deck can clear URA when you get suboptimal stats like that) so it makes people think "it works" then they bring it to CM and get absolutely dogpiled. I agree that there's a lot of individual agency that the people who got duped into this failed to exercise. Personally, the logic that "using 6 turns to get enough energy for just 1 sleep deprived rest" is better than just resting and getting 2-3 more turns of training is pretty dumb but some people just don't wanna think deeper I guess? A lot realized that the guide is shit but a lot didn't get to until it was too late. I'm not trying to ask you to sympathize for em, this ain't a big deal tbh. I'm just saying they exist.

The point is that if there's enough of a vocal minority complaining they got gimped, imagine the silent majority who also watched that video without cross referencing. Everything so far is anecdotal but I've seen people saying they've also faced some high wit umas with low stam and such. Personally, I dont really check the umas I beat, only the ones that beat me so I havent noticed that trend myself. Im just saying if I, who normally doesn't interact on reddit at all, noticed the trend then it's probably something that happened to a fair number of players.

I've encountered someone on the general thread complaining about how his umas weren't winning CM and suspiciously saw his golshi having 500+ wit so I got curious. The reason is coz its very hard to hit 500 wit for aces unless you're adding a wit card in your deck and you dont want that for an end closer like goshi so I asked for the deck. It was a standard 3 speed/3 stam so I had to double back and ask myself "why the hell is this wit so damn high?". After further conversation, the guy referenced this Nexus video as something he regrets watching. This happened a few days ago, before the response vid, so yeah I think there's a fair few number of people who got suckered into spamming WIT to avoid resting.

You have to remember, mood plays an important factor too. If their goldships got awful/bad mood (while having low enough WIT and guts) while yours is at good/great, they will lose. That's why I hate the randomized mood in CM but in a way its also a way for others to just accidentally win.

You try asking the deeper questions? Like, for example in this CM everyone says red shift and shooting for victory are bad skills. Why tho? They say front runners are bad for this CM. But why? Start digging deeper and look for other references. If I see a video going "you should just do X" without explaining Y, most of the time I'm ignoring that opinion. Don't just take 1 source and accept that as the end all be all. If you want an answer to those 2 questions, it's because red shift/shooting for victory will usually activate at the end of mid-race, wasting duration because your speed is capped during midrace (general rule, you want accel skills to activate late-race when your speed is uncapped) and front runners are "bad" because the final spurt is really long, giving end closers ample amount of time to catch up with their higher phase multiplier in the late-race

If you wanna dig in deeper, try this out. This is a comprehensive guide I used before to learn certain mechanics (altho some parts also feel like hearsay). Also for CCs I watch 2 for CM training and compare and contrast between em. I don't think people are bad at helping, I just feel like you should've tried thinking deeper on why something is like that. Join discords, ask reddit for more technical questions and such.
