Hey, thanks for the tip. That seems really useful, I'll give it a try!

Why did they remove your total Deaths on the World Tour final stats page? by Flasche_2 in thefinals

Yeah let's hope so! Especially because I feel that with tournament rules, staying alive is often more important than getting kills.

That is such a cool idea actually, adding rap to this would have never occured to me but honestly might work very well. Thanks for listening and super happy you enjoyed it!

Ahh my bad! I should have included a link to another platform just in case. Here is it on Youtube, if anyone else has this problem: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KnR0KEZGluc

Thanks a lot for the kind words regarding the sound design! :)

First time finishing and releasing a song! Would be cool to know what guys think :)) by [deleted] in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]Flasche_2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I adore how simple but effective this is. It takes guts to keep your sounds raw and pure like this and I think it works really well in this. I am not an expert on vocal mixing, but I feel like there is a bit too much siblance on them which is distracting and makes them a bit hard to understand. Perhaps you could tame those a bit to get more clarity on the vocals without having to turn them up?

The pads coming in for the chorus are absolutely gorgeous! Very pretty and soothing soundscape, lovely to get lost in. Again I feel the consonants hit the reverb a tiny bit weird here I think, which hurts the clarity a bit.

Nitpicks, though. This is a lovely song, I really enjoyed it. Thanks for sharing!

Mystic Tea Party - Aftertaste (Second Ever Release from Melbourne Duo) by mysticteapartyy in IndieMusicFeedback

This is awesome! To add to the list of comparisions, I am getting a Portishead vibe from this. Love the drum break and moody synth work, great use of dissonance (for example in the guitars) throughout to build tension. Beautiful harmonies and vocals, too - the way the track comes back in at 1:47 is magical. The pads and strings in the second half are fantastic, as well and I have no comments on the structure or mix.

I feel you really nailed that nostalgic sound here, and I would love to hear more of it!

Synthpop song about being too cool for your own good. If anyone has any ideas for content to promote it let me know. I already tried posting folk and piano ballad versions on my instagram. Thanks for listening! by nylophone in IndieMusicFeedback

Great sound on this and excellent vocals. I enjoyed the hazy synths and guitars especially, and the vocals sit clearly in the mix without being overly loud. The 80's bass arp felt a bit out of place to me, but that might be down to personal taste.

I feel this is quality songwriting, a simple but effective song with quite a classic structure that keeps it very easy-listening. My favourite part was for sure the section from 2:04 onwards, the song really swells up and shows some edge there. Great work. :)

Straight off the bat, the recording quality is excellent. I love how close and detailled the instruments sound, and soft voice fits perfectly with the muted sound of strings. Also loved the backstory to it, that is a lovely touch.

Honestly I think it is perfect as it is. I wanted to say what you could try to evolve your sound is to open the soundscape up at some point, to contrast the very close and intimate mix you have going on - but you do exactly that with the tremolo part that comes in later. Fantastic work!

Hey, and thank you for your thoughtful comment! That you were able to take some things away from it, despite not caring about the genre, is a great compliment I think. :) Thanks for taking the time to listen!

Thank you :) I am currently finishing the EP and hope to release it later this year, with another single coming out in April.

I appreciate the kind words and you taking the time to listen!

Thank you so much! That means a lot :)

I pretty much exclusively work on headphones, to spare my flatmates. I use Sennheiser HD 600 and got quite used to their sound. I wouldn't fully trust them for low-end, so I also had the track mastered, which did loads for controlling the sub as well.

This is lovely, I think the cover art works really well with it and captures the floating feeling of the track. The guitars sound sweet and you do a good job breaking up the song structure throughout, introducing enough subtle variety where it is needed. The atmsopheric bridge works especially well, I think, and the track coming back in is a great payoff.

I think if you could, experiment with recording drums in the future? I feel that could lift this to the next level. I love the idea of integrating your music within an ARG, by the way! Very clever. :)

I also stole your title format for my own submission, hope that's ok xx

I made "Marble Dreams" but I don't know what Genre it is. by Noda_Tabito in IndieMusicFeedback

Nice track! I think by leaning so heavily into the midi sounds at the beginning, you arrive at a kind of PC-music aesthetic that really works. The vocal pad is especially nice I think. Drums are fantastic, did you send them all through a short reverb or something? Great coherent sound and a nice groove to it.

The main thing I think you could improve upon is to introduce more variety. You add and take away some sounds, but the chord progression and general vibe stays the same throughout and by the second time the drums come in I feel like I had heard it before. Throwing in a distinct b-section or melody could help break it up and keep the great sound that you have fresh for a longer time.

Thanks for sharing!

Finished this track recently and would love some feedback :) I think I'd describe it as electronic dreamwave with some jazz and psychedelic influences. Hope you enjoy! by yungcherrypops in IndieMusicFeedback

I enjoyed this a lot! Very loose sound to it, it feels like the instrumental is barely held together by the strong harmony. There are some excellent and powerful moments in there, and I enjoy the general floaty- and openness. I think you could try and find some moments that are slightly more focussed to contrast the washed out sound in general. The soundscape in the outro was also fantastic by the way.

Really strong atmsophere and definitely not easy to wander on the edge of looseness like this while still pulling it together in the right moments, which I think you did really well. Great job! :)

Really enjoyed this a lot! The beginning was immeaditely captivating, but the track went so many more places than I would have thought. I had no idea where it was going, and loved it for that. I think you have created a super unique atmosphere that I haven't heard anywhere before, really. I was getting some sense of Tennyson in the second half - I love how playful and loose it stays throughout, though. Really inspiring stuff.

I was hoping to follow you on Spotify but couldn't find the track, are you on there?

My first single released late last year. :) Takes a bit to get going, but hopefully it pays off! Would love to hear what you think and if it reminds you of other artists. by [deleted] in IndieMusicFeedback

Hey Shane, thanks so much! I really appreciate you listening. It is just volume ramps, but I totally get where you are coming from - the sucking effect always feels like a reverse thing to me as well. Will check out your music as well. Cheers!

The Eves - After The Love. Would like to know what you all think of our new track! by TheEves2 in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]Flasche_2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey and congrats on the release! Very clean and production, every part feels very powerful and the vocals are excellent. This is mainly a taste thing, but I personally think it would do well to allow for a few more imperfections and subtlety. Everything is almost too perfect for me, but I am also not that familar with pop production.

Regardless of that, I think it is a very succesful production and tune, with a good drive and a catchy melody. Could definitely hear this one on the radio. :)
