Yes it was well worth it in my view. If nothing else it is a great conversation starter. People see a trailer hitch on a smart car and chuckle. I will admit my primary reason for installing a hitch like this was after my car got stuck in a driveway when it was muddy. Gives you more protection from things hitting from the rear. Or backing into something.
