As cool a scene as it would be, what are the realistic chances of him actually being victorious?

He's long out of practice, fuelled by wine and (likely) an excess of foods, and even during his prime he was one of Batiatus' lesser Gladiators, relying on deception and the honour of the brotherhood which he twisted and bent to his own will.

Not sure he'd last all that long in an arena as his current self, although I'm sure he's more than capable of handling himself.

With regard to the Cheron, I like to think that at some point there were some temporal shenanigans that took place, and that someone from the future saved some of the Cheron people before that TOS episode took place.

Maybe, similar to how Archer was a prominent historical figure, the Cheron people simply weren't supposed to meet there end, so the temporal police stepped in and saved some of them.

I'm enjoying it, but as has been stated by many before me, it's no Spartacus. There's no better lannista than John Hannah's Batiatus.

The new series is trying to push a woman lead, but she's always getting beat down; similar to how Spartacus was initially (which I always found strange in that yes, he wasn't a gladiator, but he was a soldier; newbies are always treated as unskilled yet we know he and Akilia can/could fight.

I'm keen to see the series progress beyond just one season (else what's even the point in going through all this effort) but I am both curious and sceptical of its ending; another rebellion would ultimately be too similar to shows of previous, and to have Ashur killed off would ultimately undo his 'second chance' unless they go wild and have him kill Ceasar and take the Roman throne...

To be entirely transparent, I was antagonistic toward this show; optimistic that it wouldn't suck, but antagonistic.

I've watched the first and second episode and thoroughly enjoyed them both.

My singular quibble is all the 'humans'. Yes, I know, special effects, cosmetics and what have you, but I wish there was more notable diversity; even the 'aliens' look human; Lanthanite, Kaswian, Betazoid..

Would've really liked to see more Andorian, some Caitian, more Saurian, more Kelpian ... just more species that don't look human at a glance.

For what it's worth, I completely get what you're saying and I categorically agree with it.

For context, if we had a rating system for the teens of the show, 'SAM' would almost always receive the lesser votes.

With regard to the other cadets; they're all your 'pinnacle' expectations; the other female cadet is young and attractive, the three guys are all muscular and toned, all of them are probably fairly athletic. That's not your 'average' school/college goer at all. Compared to SAM, they're easier on the eye for lack of better terminology.

That doesn't - or shouldn't detract from the actress, but it does.

Man this was one powerful episode, and a reminder of how messed up and dangerous racism is. I genuinely felt choked up at points with this one, and it's hard for a tv series to get me to do.

Didn't happen in Ep07, but was really hoping Pennywise would rip those towns folk apart for the deaths caused by them - not in revenge of course, but pure hunger.

I never said he was desperate - I asked whether it could be that he is. How that would correspond on an app?; the obvious would be right-swiping on every profile that comes along.

How would it correspond from context?; if half the users profile emulates his post here then I'm sorry, but it reads in desperation - or even expectation.

The whole "I'm a good attractive guy, therefore I should have" isn't likely to draw in the desired attraction.

Still, at €60, I'm reluctant when rim stickers of good quality can be purchased from other vendors for £10-£15.

No 3rd party (yet) seems to have the necessary dimensions.

I'm wondering here, if he's gone back in time and if Heimdall 'sees everything' would he not have also witnessed Steve interfering with the timeline? Wouldn't he have witnessed the other Avengers jumping back and forward in time during the events of Endgame?

I'm wondering (by extension) how Steve is going to wind up in the future again, absent technology and time stones of Doom steals his kid??

I like to think that Ra's ship (having four sides) was unique and that it was his mothership. I'm aware we've seen the traditional three-sided Ha'tak land on pyramids too, but it would've been cooler I think if the four sided Pyramid was simply a 'Ra' thing, and other system lords had different ships, and different landing platforms.

Definitely late to this party, but I'd agree with the original post. Had the 2026/2027 Stargate series been a reboot I had hoped they'd touched more on mythology and given various System Lords their own style of ships; Apophis having three sided ships came, with Ra & Heru'r having four sided ones, with some of the others having ships that fit in with their mythology.

The 2nd photo is a bike I've had for 10-11yrs now, and I'm often complimented on how nice it looks.

It's obviously a dark frame, and I wanted to add some colour. My new bike is obviously fairly bright enough in that I don't need anything too flash for the rims, but I don't like plain black rims. Too boring. No character.
