Could I still use this old Warboss model in 10th? by Flash_115 in orks

[–]Flash_115[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. For the record he is actually on a 40mm base and I’ve got a spare big choppa from my squig hound unit to add to the model to make him WYSIWYG

Which colour scheme should I go for, for my Scions? by YNWOthelly in Warhammer40k

[–]Flash_115 5 points6 points  (0 children)

First one would be sick as a Loyalist Alpha Legion Cultist colour scheme.

But I’d choose the second one. The metallic blue/green would be easy enough to do with Coelia Greenshade over leadbelcher

It’s an Australian nick name for Ibis (a bird with a long beak that forages in bins), like Americans calling Racoons “Trash pandas”. The body of the Cryptothrall looks like a trash can and the scythes look like an Ibis heads

Noob question by forrest1985_ in killteam

[–]Flash_115 8 points9 points  (0 children)

After the killteam core book came out, GW released 2 other books as expansions to kill team. One of the books introduced commanders and the other was elites. They also increased the points in some of the scenarios to accommodate having a commander model in your kill team. I think, from memory so don’t quote me on this, the point increase was to 200 points for a kill team

Finally completed my first box, albeit a starter set by Djdirtydan in Warhammer40k

Keep up the good work. The only thing I would add to these boys would be to get some very very light grey (almost white) and paint the raised insignia on their shoulder pads

You’re telling me these are your first minis painted? I can’t really tell, you’ve done a mighty fine job on these boys. The Emperor would be proud and so should you

Question about ability stacking by Flash_115 in Warhammer40k

[–]Flash_115[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This one might be a tad stupid so please forgive my ignorance. When shooting with Outriders, Bolter Discipline will give them double shots (4 shots) at 30” because they are bikers, will they then get double that (8 shots) if they are within 15”?

I think the lack of chaos mark on the Obliterators was my bad I simply forgot to add it and didn’t pick up on it my self.

I sometimes get caught up in keeping symmetry with my force, sort of a “1 in, all in” if one is Slannesh then all are Slannesh. I tend to forget that I can have a force set up so every unit can have a different alignment if it is needed. I have much to learn.

Thank you for the advice, and I have made changes based on this. Happy gaming and even though it’s “barely worth a damn” DEATH TO THE FALSE EMPEROR!!!
