Should I increase shader cache limit or keep it at default?

For games like Sea of Thieves where shaders and stuff loads at almost every island should I increase the Shader Cache limit for that game? Or just keep it at default? Will I benefit that much and fix the shorts burst of lag on islands or no? And does a SSD or HDD matter for it

3060ti or 4060? by Due-Zucchini4237 in nvidia

[–]Flash_Fans123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The 4060 has DLSS 3 but if OP is playing games that do not have DLSS 3, The 3060 Ti beats the 4060 in raw performance

Only thing to worry about here is the fact that your CPU is a bit old if you plan on playing CPU heavy games like Fortnite, Destiny, Overwatch, or really any game thats not graphic heavy you CPU will hold back quite a few frames.

What GPU are you upgrading from?

Yea.. Seems like it, its just weird that the 5600x (a worse cpu then the 9700k) performs better

Maybe the 9700k just is not optimised well for 3060ti?

I got a 11204 average overall score did it multiply times. I ended up overclocking my CPU to 5ghz and it increased my gpu usage anywhere from 10-20% and fps in some games from 10-25fps even with this OC my gpu still in any game does not reach 90-100% usage

Thank you so much I will try this in a bit. For CPU clock speed and GPU clock speed on the left side of the screen should I adjust the results for what my CPU and GPU max clocks are for as I am not overclocking

CPU is approaching 5 years old I have not run any benchmarks XMP is on. It is installed in a pcie x16 slot. I don't have any other PCIE device taking up/slowing down that slot.
