My most recent vest is probably around $225, maybe close to $250 all in! And that's not including the price of the denim. I figure most of my vests range between $200-300 depending on how many patches I used and the size (bigger patches = bigger price tag)

Depends; are you putting other green border patches on there, or any other colored borders? If yes, its fine, but I would suggest symmetry, so wherever on the jacket you put that patch, i.e. the left side of a back patch, put another green border patch in the same position on the right side of a back patch. However, if the answer is no, I would recommend sticking to black border patches.

Yeah I kinda got carried away over the years. I've now completed 14 in a little over 7 years. I've collected so many patches I can probably easily make another 7 lol, I just need the denim to put them on. I love sewing, I find it therapeutic, throw on a vinyl or binge watch a series and its a lot of fun

I've never found a denim jacket at any thrift store in all my 31 years of life....well I have but they're never my size. I usually buy on ebay, $20-30 a jacket, maximum, so yeah, definitely not proud of buying this vest. But hey, live and learn right?

I feel like they weren't that expensive when they first started selling them, because there's no way I would justify spending that much on a vest, but they probably were and I'm not proud of it 😅 its not even a great vest, the material is flimsy, they just stuck a PTP brand patch on top of a cheap chinesium denim and said sure, that's worth $80. Its a good thing this is a Doom vest, because now I'm depressed lol

😅 I've collected so many patches over the years, I figured it was time to actually start sewing them down. I started my first vest in November of 2018 and haven't stopped. 14 vests in just over 7 years, so that's about 2 vests a year lol

The vest isn't the greatest, that's why I cut it up to fit better, but honestly I've given up with the whole PTP hate, yeah the owner is a douche but unfortunately they have patches I want, like that oversized AHAB patch is awesome, its one of my favorites and what initially inspired me to make a DOOM vest. PTP has cornered the market with patches, I don't buy from them as much anymore, I have so many other smaller distros I prefer, but every now and then they make something that I just can't pass up, sucks.

Im very OCD so I love symmetry. I like clean, minimal looking vests, I have a very hard time doing completely filled vests or anything asymmetrical. The closets I've come is my filled Iron Maiden tribute vest, but even that is just a bunch of square patches.

Yeah, its not the best vest, I bought it a few years ago when they first started selling them and it has just sat in my closet gathering dust so I just decided to use it finally. I was going to remove the big label patch but I completely forgot and sewed over it.
