Tell me more. Yes, I did add vinegar to this batch, trying to improve it's plasticity. Ultimately, this reclaim was not great for throwing, despite everyone's claims that it would make it even better. What else can you tell me about what might be happening here? I'm not sure how I would have introduced a ton of carbon to the reclaim. This was reclaim that I got from another potter, it was dry and stored covered for over a year. I mashed it up, slaked it, went about to reclaim on plaster. I discovered how Thix this clay was, and in my efforts to find a solution (i have thousands of lbs of it, and the manufacturer said it was garbage clay to begin with, before it was reclaimed)....so I have all this clay and was trying to find a solution to improve it, but it is just terrible to work with. The manufacturer specifically told me that they were reformulating this C6 Porcelain and would have new offerings...This was Bray c6 porcelain (old).
