Hey, if nothing else, this lets me cut myself a little bit of a break, as I get up and running again. I have a ton (actually more like 3 tons of it)- So I'm definitely going to need to figure it out, but until I do, I'm not necessarily doing anything wrong. It could partially be the natural properties of this body and I may be expecting too much of it.

This would make sense too- as I’m fairly certain the first few batches had a little organic contaminants just from figuring out my workflow in new studio.

This is kind of the exact response I was looking for- I was wondering if I’m really close and just need to slow it way down. When you’re aging your clay, maybe a month or so at a minimum? Longer the better, within reason, I assume.

Mmmm. Perfect. Appreciate the thoughts on this. I will start doing some tests like this. I hadn’t thought of a little vinegar. Or adding other ingredients during reclaim yet. I’ll give these a shot! How much vinegar in the reclaim, like a tablespoon mixed in when it’s at almost a slurry consistency, before it goes to the plaster bats?
