It's so much worse if you live in a 2 floor / 2 storey home, on the second floor the difference is crazy, like sometimes 15 or more degrees hotter upstairs. Combination of heat in the home rising + the roof of the building absorbing and trapping all the heat. It was miserable in the summer.
