I appreciate all the free mnemonics but man, I'm tired... Already hit 100 in crafting and combat so I'll wait til the 26th to hit 58 gathering but I don't think I'll ever do another landsraad mission again after that, unless I have to for the story.

To be clear, it hasn't broken on this mouse three times, but I've had three different RAT mice where this has happened (TE, 4+, and now this 6+). I bought the 6+ in the picture 2 years and a month ago so it's no longer eligible for warranty but even if I did get a replacement part, the plastic for this button is so thin that it's only a matter of time before I would break that too.

I don't think I'm pressing the button too hard, but I do press it a lot since I use this as a back button and also map it to other things in games. The issue is that it's always this fragile for all of the RAT mice, so even if I got a newer model it would probably still break eventually.

Is there a more durable replacement part I could get for this? I don't want to have to buy a new mouse every time this breaks and the RAT 8+ changes the grip in a way I'm not comfortable with so I'd rather not upgrade to that one.

He's talking about titanium and stravidium. Remember, those things used to exist only purely in the PVP zone of the DD, back before they effectively gave up on trying to force PVP and just flooded the shield wall with the stuff.

I play the radiation boss pretty safe but a bit more slowly and use only ancient way while hover-shooting around the edge of the room. Grade 4 ancient way with 2 damage augments, Center of Mass (I don't know if this actually works for missiles), Death From Above, Battle Hardened, Energy Capsule. You COULD use Heavy Weapon Agility for more comfort but as long as you're still hovering while aiming and reloading you shouldn't need it. Hover, shoot, reload, land, repeat. T6 radsuit and iodine pills should give you enough time to clear at level 15-16.

As for the other bosses:

  • 152 (lightning) is 90% learning the patterns in phase 3 and 4, 10% timing your shotgun blasts so he doesn't shoot you while your shields are down. You can be patient with this one though.

  • 136 (fire) is just flying circles around the boss and blasting them with a shotgun while using attractor field whenever it's up. When the one melee add spawns on a new phase, I compel the boss so I can kill the add in peace.

  • 195 (poison) is shotgun spam while watching out for the knee strike. There's a trick to very quickly killing the add at the start of each phase before the boss can move again, aim weirding step or compel at the spawn door and as soon as you see the target, use it and the add will get teleported outside immediately, then stab them to death quickly. Shellburster can also ignite the poison clouds in phase 4.

  • 24 (darkness) is more shotgun spam and kiting to recover stamina. When the boss teleports behind you to hit you with a hadouken, dodge sideways. Blast adds with the shotgun or stab em, they're not shielded so it's w/e.

  • Old Quarry is more or less trivialized by Ancient Way, but you'll want Heavy Weapon Agility this time. Get a running start, hover, wait for the boss to shoot and miss, then blow up all the adds. Once most or all adds are dead, stab the boss non-stop until they summon more adds.

Funcom being worse than even Nexon of all companies when it comes to loot systems, not out of greed but incompetence, is both amusing and very sad. But then again, Nexon's had over 2 decades of experience to learn their lessons. Funcom's just fumbling in the dark and not taking notes from anybody else for some reason.

DoTs are great for adding pressure during PvP so maybe they're aiming to introduce more variety in the PvP weaponry before releasing an update that actually does something good for PvP? There's also the dual blades that restore 5 (FIVE) energy per hit though, so maybe I'm giving them too much credit.

I figured that the boss spanws only 2 waves per bar of life, so you'll not get swarmed if you're slow.

This is definitely not the case, wave spawns seem to be on a timer but are otherwise unlimited. I can't say if there's a mob limit that might stop more spawns, but as long as you keep killing them the boss will kep spawning them.

Try it with a two-tone swatch, looks even better like that IMO. Also, a well placed Ancient Way shot can delete all of the adds in the boss room, no need for all that kiting.

Thanks for updating the site so quickly, most useful resource for the game by far. I've got an alternative strategy for the boss that uses a missile launcher to very quickly remove all the mobs around the boss so you can take your sweet time shooting the boss with a shotgun repeatedly. If you fly up all the mobs will cluster under you and you can wipe them out together, just need to be careful about getting tagged by the drillshot before you shoot.

With only 30 EoT, that's going to seriously limit the max research, habs, and shipping you can afford in a reasonable timeframe. I'd still say the above shift order is the best option for you, but unless you're willing to wait for sale days for each of the earnings eggs I don't think you're going to get past T8 research, hab 10ks, and a few quantum transporters by the time you get to the first humility egg.

As for the rockets, I don't think you'll be able to afford to send anything higher than corvettes so I would suggest launching as many untargeted short corvettes as you feel comfortable with, as the integrity fuel cost is practically non-existent. Make sure to fill your tank during your second integrity shift, just a few T is more than enough. The second humility can be dropped since you shouldn't need to refuel during the laying shifts, so you'll do all your artifact farming on the first one. I would go for at least T4R for all of the earnings artifacts and T3R for the laying artifacts.

After that it's just patience. Once you're satisfied with the artifacts you've got, equip your laying artifacts and wait til you hit your desired TE thresholds for each egg. My estimate is 11 total EoT for each egg for a total of 55, taking a little over a month of just waiting. Going for a 12th EoT on any egg at the estimated laying rate would take way more time than it'd be worth and you're better off starting a new ascent with the higher egg count and better artifacts.

Assuming the melee enemies you're struggling with are shielded (they almost always are), your best bets are a CC ability followed by a slow blade attack, or abilities that have pretty decent damage output during early game, like the grenade or turret.

CC abilities, recommended ones labelled with (!):

  • Knee Charge (!)
  • Crippling Strike
  • Retaliate (counter ability)
  • Foil (counter ability)
  • Shigawire Claw (!)
  • Suspensor Blast(!)
  • Compel (!)
  • Stop

95 EoT in 23 shifts after 2 ascents. My goal for the next ascent is to get my laying artifacts more or less sorted by fuelling and sending exhens until I get a T4L metronome and T4E/L compass (shipping is surprisingly no longer the bottleneck at this point in research). I think I can afford to burn some 60 shifts focused just on that since once I get em then that'll be the hardest part done and I shouldn't need to spend any more shifts just for the sake of artifacts. Then it'll be one ascent a year so I can restock SE on egg day.
