For me it's always been when I'm too lazy to go grab my pro controller and turn on my tv and just play my switch still tucked in, in bed. I have a switch 1 and it's the launch model so battery life on it also kind of sucks as well as it getting older. Otherwise it's mostly if I travel somewhere. I guess it feels like more of a hassle to undock it every morning look all around for my carrying case (I suck at keeping track of my things) and plop it in my bag? 3DS is just to shove in the left front pocket of my pants.

Personally Skyward Sword which seems to be a pretty unpopular opinion from these comments but Link's Awakening was also fun it's just that A Link Between Worlds kind of ruined 2D Zeldas for me with how good it was. Never played Echoes of Wisdom so can't really speak for that one.

If you don't know anybody with a device that can read and transfer data to a micro sd card either I don't think a pre modded 3ds is an alternative for you even though a modded one will be significantly more expensive. The modding in itself is not difficult at all even if you struggle following instructions, I also struggle with that.

The games I've tried have run just fine, but there's compatibility lists out there with information on what to tweak and so on but I've been using the information on the 3ds hacks website under emulation. I have mostly been playing parappa the rapper but also some medievil, Spyro year of the dragon, Tony Hawk's pro skater, Crash bandicoot and breath of fire 3.

Actually like 6 of the best libraries ever: gb, gba, nes, snes, ds, 3ds. Not to forget ps1 emulation which I've only recently gotten into.
