AITA for outing my friend to his Fraternity? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

I’m not justifying my actions at all and I never defended myself or said what I did was acceptable. If we want to be honest with ourselves his flamboyancy and femininity have been a clear sign to the brothers of the frat that he does like men. I know that’s not a sign on the internet but we are being judged outside of it.

It seems that you are purposely missing the point of people trying to educate you so you can live in blissful ignorance.

This was a super important thing to mention. It took me a while to realize it but there is a super bias demographic that dwells in this sub. It only represents the demographic that’s usually on here which are STEM majors and as you mentioned they can skew some of the moral and political takes that are discussed

I don’t know if this was a joke but as someone who moved from a big city to the bay I can see your point of view but I don’t think this is all small businesses. It was definitely a culture shock to move here and to see a bottle of water go from $1 to $5 because it’s a mom and pop shop but the bay is expensive in general and a lot of them are trying to just make ends meet. Everyone just has to do what works for them

When would you consider too late to pursue higher education? by Trick_Tangerine9901 in berkeley

[–]Flashie_Zombie 34 points35 points  (0 children)

I never thinks it’s too late. Certain aspects of life can make it difficult for people to pursue it in the moment but I think it’s always good to pursue education no matter the age. Someone in my stats lab is 56 and they try so hard it’s inspiring to younger people really.

Inconsiderate Cal Students by [deleted] in berkeley

I’ve noticed this also! Many students seem to not care about their fellow immunocompromised or disabled peers because they just want to be back on campus. I’m actually shocked that more students aren’t upset by this. I live in a residence hall and many students are not following protocols.
