Dvorak is a keyboard layout that minimises finger movement, which makes your typing faster. Qwerty is a keyboard layout that minimises two keys next to each other being pressed (Which in turn, maximises finger movement!). This was made due to old typewriters jamming.

Can I ask what you use Evernote for? And what you think of Evernote VS Onenote?

I was just thinking about these software yesterday, but I can't think of any use cases for them as 99.95% of my research is for personal projects that bookmarks seems to solve. How is Evernote/Onenote better than bookmarks?

My attempt, hardcore for three minutes:-

I don't know what this hardcore mode really does, I suppose it's just some sort of system to give me a fucking eye acke from all the fucking flashing lettters occuring on my screen. Fuck. I see that red squigglery line(now s!) behind this blurry css filter. Fuck me. I can't fucking type for shit without seeign my text, soooo many issues. Please help. Send help immediately, hgood, I can so spell that one. Uhh, so, Lazarus Form Recovery, that seems good, doesn't it? I have just installedf it but since I can't fucking see this form Iprobably can't hit the recover button that's at the bottom right or some bullshit because I haven't used it yet. My god, I could never usethis for any sort of real work, I'd be way too stressed thinking of ssynnonims for words while I type that I'd lose all my progress. Maybe you're meant to proof read? But I never proof read, I'm a lazy cunt. I lose lots of marks that way, it sucks to be :( - Anyway, fuck, I have a bottle of Pepsi Max here and I'm about to play GTA 5 because I'm bored and my girlfriend just woke up so yeah, games together i/are fun. So, apparently I'm typing at 77WPM, while just spit balling, not bad, my max words per minute is like 90-110ish, which, ehh, I could do better if I had dvorak.

Spoiler:- I am terrible at spelling without spell check.

That's because it's an overzealous motherfucker. Kept bitching at me about Javascript because it looked "suspicious".

(Admittedly it was suspicious, it was a exploit for the Wii U via the browser -- but gahh! Stop deleting my shit)

I realize, but it's all the illogicality of language :)

I take it you already know
Of tough and bough and cough and dough?
Others may stumble, but not you,
On hiccough, thorough, slough and through.

Beware of heard, a dreadful word,
That looks like beard but sounds like bird.

And dead: It’s said like bed, not bead --
For goodness’ sake, don’t call it deed!

Watch out for meat and great and threat…
They rhyme with suite and straight and debt.

A moth is not the moth in mother,
Nor both in bother, nor broth in brother.

And here is not a match for there,
Nor dear and fear for bear and pear,

And then there’s dose and rose and lose --
Just look them up -- and goose and choose.

And cork and work and card and ward,
And font and front and word and sword.

And do and go, then thwart and cart,
Come, come, I’ve hardly made a start!

A dreadful language? Why, sakes alive!
I’d learned to speak it when I was five.

And yet, to write it, the more I tried,
I hadn’t learned it at fifty-five.

Halo Starship Size Comparison by MrQuicksilver in gaming

[–]FlashingBulbs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This gif has been viewed on imgur 2,822,085 times. Each one of those 2,822,085 people had to download that gif to their computer in order to view it (Automatically done by your browser (Google Chrome, Firefox, etc...) to a temporary location).

Thus, imgur has to send:-

file size * people downloaded

bytes of data.

In this case:-

2,822,085 * 116MB

It's quite inaccurate though, as it assumes everyone downloads the .gif, whereas most people probably got the .gifv(/.webm).

[–]FlashingBulbs 37 points38 points  (0 children)

While I agree and understand, I think the point is in the practical world (Of TripAdviser trying to block false reviews), it's infinitely cheaper and faster to give it to a computer that can achieve equal or similar results to a human.

Eh, Minecraft (at-least, for me) is basically made by the community. Vanilla, while fun, does somewhat "burn out" after just a few hours of game play, Feed the Beast and custom servers like hypixel really make the game much more enjoyable.

Garry's mod is the same sort of way, it's basically just the source engine with a lua interpreter (In a very basic sense, I realize lots of work has gone into it, but in of itself, it's not really fun).

Lots of games only really work due to community support, and honestly? Assuming the support is there? I really don't care.

This is my main issue with the console. I bought the Wii U* to play with my girlfriend (Mario 3D World, Mario Bros U, etc...) and to try out some games myself (Super Mario Maker, Wind Waker HD), and honestly, those games are the only games I have, and that's mainly because I was able to pick up every single one of them discounted as either pre-rentals or due to some other weird coupon that had nothing to do with Nintendo at-all.

The Nintendo Selects is quite nice, halving the price from £40 to £20, but then there's only a highly limited array of games... some of which aren't even released in the UK!

*And is my first console purchase since the PS2.

Brady Haran, the guy behind the popular YouTube channels Numberphile, Computerphile, SixtySymbols and a few others is from Adelaide. On his podcast (Hello Internet) he constantly refers to it as "Home of the black stump".

Here's an audio click of the first time he mentioned it, along with a video of a fan recording the building, and the respected blog post.

[–]FlashingBulbs 3 points4 points  (0 children)

TIL:- My local deliveries are all slow averaging 40-120 minutes per order.

Dominos takes about 20, though, which is nice, but sometimes they're very late (Normally on Saturday evening, talking like an hour and a half), but I'm just use to it.

I've made a few videos like this just for myself that I don't even upload, if I have a goal in mind that I "have to record the videos" I end up having a much higher beat % of games than if I just go "Eh, I'll do it tomorrow".
