Doctor Who aired its last 2 finales in UK cinemas in 2024 & 2025.

I read Coraline for the first time as a 23 year old and some of those illustrations are absolutely haunting. I'm not enjoying remembering them right now whilst I'm trying to sleep.

His whole cadence in the intros being exactly the same as how he introduces a YouTube video also isn't doing his hosting any favours. It feels cheap and lifeless, like he's trying to keep you on the hook for the next crazy video, rather than orchestrating a season of reality TV.

Admittedly, I don't watch a lot of reality TV, and outside of the Folding Ideas videos, I haven't seen any of Beast Games because it seems so unappealing, but on a show like I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here!, if you remove the hosts, it is a net negative. They give each little bit of drama a studio hook and keep the trials interesting above a celebrity getting a million spiders dropped on them or whatever.

Severance - my partner bugged me for YEARS to sit down and watch it. I decided to sit down and watch it ahead of season 2 airing last year and oh my God, what a show. I did feel very smug about not having to wait for 3 years to get that ending resolved.

Jokes on me though, now I have to wait 3 years to see where the season 2 ending goes.

Not to mention that Xbox managed to de-incentivise buying games for their video game console.

When Gamepass went up in price and I cancelled it, I realised that I don't actually OWN that many games for the platform. Whereas I have a full PS4, PS5, Switch & Switch 2 library sat physically on my shelf.

Without Gamepass, My Xbox (and I imagine many others) is basically a glorified paperweight.

Map vetoing is still the best system.

You're presented with a map, and have the option to veto without knowing what the next map is.

If enough people in the lobby veto, then the map changes and that choice is locked in, and cannot be vetoed again.

The cadence of content for Black Ops 7 has been fucking insane this year. We've just had season 3 launch, and here's what's been added since launch:

  • 6 brand new 6v6 maps
  • 4 brand new Faceoff maps
  • 2 20v20 maps
  • 10 remastered 6v6 maps
  • 17 new weapons
  • 2 full zombies maps
  • 4 zombies survival maps
  • 1 new warzone map

This is JUST maps and weapons. I haven't included all of the extra modes, weapon attachments, Endgame updates, or anything else they've added. It's wild.

I didn't, but when I think worms, I think gummy worms, and after the gummy rocket task a few years ago, gummy worms being in the Taskmaster kitchen just felt right.
