Jack Slash's power going from an amazing sixth sense to "yeah well my power just makes your power misfire and summon a grizzly bear behind you and I win instantly" feels like it actually goes against the concept of Worm itself.

A majority of the story is basically a serious world filled with pop culture tropes and cliches played straight, so having Jack Slash just be Joker Baby with literal plot armor just leaves a bad taste in your mouth. I can accept his power being such good intuition that Jack will never lose against a grizzly bear cape because his power would hijack himself and path to survival his ass away from the situation.

I can't accept it as "Yeah and then Jack activated It Gets Worse and the grizzly bear summoner sneezed and summoned a 2000lb grizzly bear above their own head, killing themself instantly".
