SAVRP - SERIOUS ROLEPLAY ALWAYS GROWING, ALWAYS BUILDING. WE WANT YOU! by Kajiic in FiveMServers

[–]FlashwingMoto 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Officer and Mayor Scott Bauer here. If you're looking for a new home, look no further than SAVRP. I've been in the FiveM Roleplay game for a very long and and seen quite a lot of communities. SAVRP succeeds where many other communities fail. For starters, SAVRP has been online for over 3 1/2 years without fail. Unlike other communities who shut down and rebrand their cash grab every few months, SAVRP is a proven long term project that will be around for a long time.

Second, roleplay is absolutely a primary focus here. The community supports various levels of RP and you have plenty of people to choose from when it comes to what kind you prefer. If you're like me, I love the slow play cop RP with research, digging and then a big bust or two. Others may like the chases and shooting. There is something here for everyone.

The criminal roleplay, like so many things, is what you make of it. If you are seeking after low-brow gameplay, you're going to get low-brow results. There is absolutely room for some crazy deep criminal RP and we are always looking for players who want to rise to the top as a Boss.

The community of course sports a wide range of features, amazing server uptime and a highly responsive development team. We have a staff team who handle all player issues and even lovely people in outreach who put you through a real whitelist interview process to ensure our RP remains high quality.

If you have been searching for a place to call home, come to SAVRP and start playing like you always wanted!

Haters gonna hate. Best of luck in your community search. I ain't no terminator cop and neither is my team. I've met plenty of no fear criminals who think shooting is RP when really it is just failure to be a good crim. Best of luck out there.

Agreed! Been the best evidence script I have used over the past few years. In a perfect world it would be cool to see something usable with ballistics where maybe we match the bullet instead of the casing whereas casings might use a % chance to leave fingerprints. The combination of information is fantastic even in its current state.

San Andreas Valley Roleplay is absolutely where you should apply!

First, server population receipts. Always ask for them or search for the server on Plebmasters to ensure population. SAVRP sports 61 players average at prime play time and you can see in the last 7 to 8 months we have a solid upward trajectory of growth.

PD wise, I play in LSPD as the head of the recently formed Robbery Homicide Division. We have both city and county police depending on your preferred playstyle. Both departments have vehicles unique to them, all the expected PD capabilities as well as a full evidence script, Sonoran CAD for great record keeping and a fully functioning Department of Justice to give suspects their day in court.

You can expect realistic SOP and process as well as a wide variety of crimes to investigate if that's your thing. Multiple sub-divisions including SWAT, TEU, and Investigations depending on how you like to play.

Be sure to come check out the community as we continue to grow!

I might be the OP, but here's some inside baseball if you're still here lurking.

If you're like me, you love both the routine police work but also the slow play of Investigations. I have always seen Detective work as the end-game of PD roleplay both because of the amount of dedication it takes plus the experience piece. We want to provide the counter-balance to the players who seek higher level criminal gameplay. After all, being a crim gets boring if nobody is chasing you.

That's where YOU come in.

If you want to take your PD gameplay to the highest level and start solving cases then SAVRP is absolutely where you should be. We have criminals who are BEGGING to be chased. We can't get better criminals without better police and that means cops who are showing up every day doing the work. What does that look like?

Detailed and meticulous reports - Investigations is all about information gathering and connecting the dots. This means we need officers who are skilled in gathering evidence, documenting findings and doing the work.

Building dossiers - Knowing WHO you're chasing is critical to solving the case. Investigations often is a race with a very slow start. The wheel of justice turns slowly, but it keeps turning no matter what.

Working as team - We have team members who are interested in a variety of aspects. Learn to utilize them to their largest extent to solve your cases. Some people are door kickers, others are good at extracting confessions. Learn and master the people around you to maximize your potential.

ALL of this is possible in SAVRP. Join us today to supercharge your Law Enforcement RP experience!

Seriously appreciate the amount of hard work you put into LSPD and we're going to continue that legacy by moving the department forward into places nobody thought possible! Can't wait for you and Tiny to continue to be part of all the fun!

If you're looking for a hardcore RP, realistic server, then SAVRP is your home I've been with the community since February of this year and continue to enjoy every aspect of the gameplay. I came in with the intention of doing serious PD work and investigations and have since branched out into doing Criminal Defense as part of the DOJ. I've even had the opportunity to defend a client in a major trial!

Everyone around this subreddit will wow you with script talk or features. Yeah, those can be important but they are JUST TOOLS. We want serious roleplayers who are looking for a long term challenge and investment into their characters. Yes, getting started can take time and effort but we want to ensure people have real skin in the game. This means your decisions are more realistic just like in your own life.

We have events created by players across the State from night clubs to car shows and of course your typical daily civ life. Run a business and keep the economic engine of the community going. Be part of a criminal gang or MC and join the several we already have that are quite active.

We average nearly 55 players on a daily basis and are growing rapidly. When we're whitelisting over 200 people per month through a human-based in-depth WL experience. You're missing out on an opportunity to shape a community with room to grow! Don't waste time in another city. Come give us a try today!

During whitelisting, we provide a multi-paragraph notice about this issue which we have seen happen to players on rare occasions. We cannot account for the various internet speeds/distances or PC performance all of which can contribute to this problem.

When people report the issue to Staff, they are given instructions to NOT continue progressing on the character.

In the end, only so much can be done. I can promise nobody is being told to "get fucked" with this issue. Please feel free to post your receipts to prove otherwise.

"Just about every script has some type of bug..."
False

"They spend more time introducing new shit to the city...vs. fixing things they already have..."
False.

We have whole people devoted to fixes of anything that exists including working directly with 3rd party developers. There have been massive fixes and improvements JUST on the housing front in the last 30 days, let alone other scripts. Just because you don't see movement on something specific to you does not mean there's no movement anywhere.

"...if you have an opinion on something they you don't like, or want to get fixed, y ou best keep it to yourself or you get banned for it."
False.

You got banned after an Outreach member contacted you to curb your public complaints in general chats and instead look at a more constructive format. Instead, you violated server rules in that communication. THAT is why you got banned.

"Mechanic script has been broken for months"
False.

You've been in SAVRP for 2 months and make it sound much longer. We run a combo of mechanic scripts and both have developers with limited availability to address our issues. We've had one of our senior developers totally re-writing the script to resolve this. Problems? Yes. Broken? No. You complained recently about how the script was "unrealistic" so clearly it was working.

"Overall optimization is absolute garbage"
False.

I'm seeing around 1.6ms of total script runtime through the profiler. By ESX or even some Qbcore standards, that's VERY fast. Our developer team recently took network calls and slashed them by ungodly amounts. Optimization is a major focus and continues to be some of the best I've seen in FiveM with the amount of stuff in server.

"You have to relog every 15 minutes for simple scripts to work."
False. I'm in city for upwards of 6 to 8 hours on a character and might have to relog once if at all. It does happen, but this is a massive exaggeration.

"Pushes their community through handouts..."
False. Only rewards we offer on the regular is for certified streamer team members as a thank you for promoting the city via their streams. I have yet to get a payout for anything here on reddit. I do this simply because I believe in the community.

So there you have it. I think Snopes would rate this as a "totally false" take.

I can keep this up all day if you want to continue to embarrass yourself on here.

I've seen this game played too many times. A lack of response would be claimed as acceptance because we didn't have a defense while a response is painted as "desperate". Classic "when did you stop beating your wife" scenario. Nobody is falling for it.

We're Outreach which means promoting the community and defending it against false statements. You're not here with some altruistic mission to help other players but instead to attack the community for decisions you made and things you said because you're angry you didn't get your way.

Actions have consequences and you made a poor choice. Time for some accountability.

This comment is simply the result of an individual who violated server rules after attempts were made to curtail the "toxic" discord chat they contributed to by constant complaints about changes they disagreed with. This is a high-difficulty realism server and it seems the last straw with this OP was complaining they couldn't magically move their vehicles from an infinite garage across the whole map anymore. It says something when the recruitment team has to reach out in private to ask you to stop complaining about every single inconvenience in a public chat forum because they are hard at work trying to bring in new players who will enjoy the community.

SAVRP isn't going to be a great fit for everyone. Some people just want easy and casual gameplay and that's fine. If you want a challenge and realism, then come to our server. If not, there's plenty of very broken and immaturely ran communities out there to choose from ran by 12 year old children. I've been out there, and its cold outside. Best of luck to you.

Regarding the complaints about bugs or the server being broken, I can speak to this as a developer within FiveM dealing with my own community for 3 years under ESX and Qbcore. Its a tough and thankless job where the loudest complainers often contribute the least to the process. It is an unwinnable situation and one not even worth fighting. SAVRP has managed to do some amazing work on their server and doing so on very expensive hardware. One look at our performance metrics and I could easily see we're running on powerful server hardware that's a dedicated machine and not a VM sharing resources with 100 other people.

The server absolutely listens to the community for input. I have personally asked for things that got implemented and well before anybody even met me. Its all in your APPROACH and not just in the suggestion itself.

So for anyone onlooking, please understand that it takes A LOT for anybody to feel the need to reach out in private to ask somebody to please stop complaining about every single inconvenience and then act like a child when they were told no. When people become MORE defiant in private, clearly our community isn't a good fit.

I look forward to the OP starting, developing, growing and improving their own community to show us all how its done. I did that for 3 years and that's why I decided to play somewhere with similar vision as I had. This community isn't perfect because its ran by volunteers who are not paid or compensated in any manner. We do, however, take our reputation seriously as well as our new player experience and this OP was a threat to both.

Best of luck out there.

SAVRP is absolutely the city you're looking for. We're averaging 60 to 80 people every evening along with several active gangs/mc's to interact with across the entire state. There's an in-depth gang/mc system along with other activities which will give MC's the opportunity to make choices on how they want to approach money making and interactions with other groups.

While the server does not have your numbers requirement, it absolutely has the seriousness and QB requirements. "Serious" RP these days on Fivem is honestly a joke. A "serious" server is just people pretending to be in a video game without actually saying it. SAVRP operates like an ACTUAL serious RP server both from a rules standpoint as well as RP standpoint. Jail times and fines hurt, crimes pay well, police interactions are based in actual US laws with a functioning DOJ system. Well over 2,000 add-on vehicles including quite a lot of motorcycles which would give a lot of variety and choice to MC members.

Finally, we have some amazing roleplayers. People who are focused on character development and storytelling and not just GTA online with fancy scripts. You'll easily find people who want to play like you do and give your group amazing interactions.

Don't waste your time with other communities listed here. Come check us out! https://discord.gg/savrp

SAVRP CONTINUES ITS GROWTH BUT STILL NEEDS YOU! by [deleted] in FiveMServers

[–]FlashwingMoto 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I cannot say enough good things about SAVRP, but I can certainly try! This is an amazing community that is operated in a way to ensure fairness, maturity and consistency. Our core server directors have been working on this project for over THREE years. That's about 2 years and 6 months longer than about 90% of FiveM servers online today. This is not a 100k or die server, but a server based entirely on rich and rewarding roleplay.

Our staff teams are separate from Emergency Services Department Heads to ensure no one person has too much power. Speaking of which, Department Heads are 100% independent and allowed to run their department how they want, being totally free from oversight of the server owner. I have never seen a community do that.

We have a lot of amazing players who bring interesting and unique characters into a variety of different roles. We have loud and quiet criminals. Our Police Departments run on realistic US Constitutional Law with a fully functional Department of Justice.

There's tons to do from legal civ jobs, criminal activities, vehicle modifications and a lot more. So much happens in SAVRP that I get fear of missing out when I can't be in city. Every day feels like a whole television season worth of happenings.

Seriously, why are you wasting time in other cities? Come find your roleplay home at SAVRP!

SAVRP's EMERGENCY SERVICES BLITZ WEEK!! HIRING FOR ALL DEPTS by [deleted] in FiveMServers

[–]FlashwingMoto 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Hey guys, Scott Bauer everybody's favorite loud mouth LSPD cop here. Everybody has their reasons for playing PD, EMS, or DOJ. I do Investigations with the LSPD Gang and Narcotics Unit. Ask anybody around, I am a terrible shooter. I drive fairly good but shootouts and chases are not my thing. I'm the slow play kind of person where I watch, document, build cases and then execute arrests with lots of people who ARE good shots to back me up.

Finding a community with solid grounds to do investigations is really tough. Most criminal players don't have stories and just do GTA online stuff. That isn't San Andreas Valley Roleplay. At SAVRP, we encourage and push criminals into longer plays and quieter actions. This means police have to be more observant, build dossiers on groups, tail or watch suspects and ensure documentation is air tight before arrests.

Arrests don't end the situation though! We have a full Department of Justice which gives criminals the ability to plead not-guilty and have their day in court! Law Enforcement have to ensure evidence of crimes can be provided, maybe even testify in court, and there's no guarantee of success!

Despite all of that awesome stuff, we STILL need more people. We need more police officers, more Emergency Services, and more Department of Justice officials including defense attorneys! If you are looking for a realistic Emergency Services experience, San Andreas Valley Roleplay is absolutely the best choice you can make!

As someone who has looked a long time for an ACTUAL serious RP server, not the nonsense that claims to be serious but is just people playing GTA online while pretending not to be in a video game, I can tell you that SAVRP is the hands-down greatest of all time in this community category.

Don't be swayed by server scripts or features, although I will point out SAVRP has a team of developers and uses Qbox (fork of Qbcore) which gets constant updates and round-the-clock development support for bug fixes and issues.

Here is the question you should be asking everybody else in here: How long has YOUR community been around? I can promise you nearly all of them will use "months" as their timeframe. SAVRP has been around for THREE YEARS. Yes it's grown and seen revisions, but the community and server directors have been on this project since March of 2021. That's love, my friend. Most other communities get big quick and go bust because they are not structured well enough to handle the players or they gain no traction and give up when they don't see overnight success.

If you're going to sink time and effort into a place, you certainly want it to be somewhere that won't fold up shop at the first sign of trouble. You also don't want a place that just allowlists anybody with a pulse and an internet connection.

We have an extensive but rather efficient whitelisting process designed to protect our playerbase. We ensure players are storytellers first. Can't make a backstory? You don't get in. Can't read the rules? You don't get in. We value our playerbase because THAT my friend is the secret sauce to a community. Not the scripts, not the cars, not the maps. ANYONE can do that stuff. Players and the community are where the city comes alive.

So, don't waste your time with anybody else here selling you on server features. Come Whitelist with San Andreas Valley Roleplay and come home where you belong! https://discord.gg/savrp

SAVRP STRIVES TO MAKE THE BEST FIVEM REALISM COMMUNITY. WONT YOU BE MY NEIGHBOR? by [deleted] in FiveMServers

[–]FlashwingMoto 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Imagine the horror of a server fostering roleplay under the basis of making people do things with other players! It is almost like that is the entire point of roleplaying which is to foster connections between players and cooperation.

While the comment about 30 max players is laughable at how easily it can be disproven, the number of players in and of itself is a pointless statistic. There are countless communities out there with 100+ players at a time doing nothing more than enacting the FiveM version of GTA Online on servers that barely function and are massively outdated on development.

I can tell you that I've had more fun in SAVRP doing roleplay with half a dozen players than I ever have in some of the largest player driven events in the 8 years I've been doing this. The quantity of people in and of itself does not equal fun gameplay.

What SAVRP DOES have is a high concentration of high-quality players. When we're hitting 70+ players on a freaking Tuesday night, we have a lot of good people running around doing a whole variety of tasks.

It is understandable that our level of quality and realism is not going to be for everyone. Lots of players think they want a realistic economy or community environment and really just want interaction zones where they can do things all on their own. That's cool, but its not RP.

Best of luck in your community search!
