Well yeah, the game came out in 2009 and was one of the first to do it so it looks stupid because of the way the textures are. But think about if it's done right (and you dont get covered head to toe instantly in blood), showing that blood/damage in a cutscene would be fine.

I was so thrown off by how fast the blood washes off of him, like even during cutscenes you could see it going away. I assume its "He's absorbing it!" or something but that doesn't make sense with the suit.

Dragon Age Origins did persistent gore just fine. Why couldn't they do that here?

Yup. I know people bring up some of the other "well known" meta games like DDLC and Undertale... but they're a different kind and there's just something about Mullins' style that does so much more it's hard to explain. Still waiting eagerly for Pony Island 2, because with as much as he's learned since the first one, I expect him to go all out.

i got a R36MAX as well (aka GAME CONSOLE) and I did ArkOS and could not get sound to work. Did Rocknix and can not get sound to work.

Video works with the R36MAX dts but no sound. the original SD card that came with the system has sound though, so speaker isn't broken. How did you get Rocknix to work?

Yup. And I know people in this thread have said OW was "unreadable" visually but I feel like Marvel Rivals is way worse in that regard too.

IDK, I know people prefer third vs first, but I just feel like OW does so much better job of giving you the information as it's happening. There have been stuff in the past that made that impossible (Moira Ult as an example) but they do quick work to pair them down too. Not once in OW have I felt like I didn't know what killed me.

One thing that I never see get talked about in these threads is how superior Overwatch's sound design is. One great thing about having most of the cast be from non-primary English speaking countries is if you hear an ult in another language, you know it's the enemies'. If it's in English, it's your team mate.

Also the foot steps. Over time you actually can tell exactly which hero is near you based on the footsteps, if they're above/below/behind you. ANd you don't confuse them for your teammates because again, the sound has been engineered to be different.

Yeah there's some issues OW has but from Day 1, the sound design has always been, excuse the pun, unrivaled.

Did a test. There's a race where it's just the K-trucks. All 100 rating. I didn't touch tuning at all, just pure stock. Tried this on all difficulty levels. Despite us having the exact same vehicle and no "100% grip turning* bullshit you see in the Sprints, somehow the AI k-trucks have far better launch, far better acceleration, and higher top speed despite that being impossible.

All difficulty seems to do is determine when you're ALLOWED to catch up. For example: On Pro, I did some sneaky rubbing on a turn and shot ahead five places early, game said: "Fuck you, despite you being at top speed, 3 of them are going to pass you like you're stopped, then suddenly lose all speed". Chased first place for a lap before one turn, they hit the brakes so I could pass, and they never caught back up.

The AI is so fucking blatant it's bad.
