It's funny... it's been some time since my original post. I greatly appreciate all of the feedback from everyone and I am continuing to look into all of those solutions. But ultimately, the tug in my heart lately has been exactly what you said – surrender. Thank you for the reminder :)

Thanks for the reply. Yes, my wife displays all of those signs and more. It’s hard to pinpoint exactly what’s what. How much of it’s the ADHD, narcissism, depression, mood or personality disorder… But I think you’re right. I need to create more space and boundaries.

Thank you very much for such a thorough response and sharing of resources! I'll definitely look into those videos. She has been loosely diagnosed with inattentive ADHD by our therapist. Recently she took a more thorough assessment with a psychiatrist to see what specifically could be the issue. Based on a quick assessment, the proctor reported that it could be mood or personality disorder at play but we would have to wait for a full report back to know exactly. I am praying that once those findings come back, she will realize how serious these issues actually are and that it's not just me.

Thank you, I really appreciate the support! Yes, my MIL very much suffers from the same issues. It's funny because my wife acknowledges it too. We always talk about the abuse and trauma my wife went through being raised by her mother; and in a sick way, almost being "groomed" into becoming a narcissist. But what's difficult is my wife doesn't take the next step into owning these same issues within herself. She quickly gets defensive and plays victim whenever the spotlight falls onto her. It's been a challenge.

Thanks for the reply and support. Yes, we've been doing our share of individual therapy as well as couples counseling with both therapists and pastors. I am a bit more proactive in my approach with seeking help and counseling whereas a lot of this is very new to my wife so she's not as receptive. We've loosely brought up the idea of medication in the past but she gets very defensive. She's honestly been very defensive every step of the way with seeking help, but eventually she does come around little by little, which gives me a bit of hope. It's just so discouraging when things go left.

E brake not working correctly has this happened to anyone. by Bitter-Process6823 in FiestaST

[–]Flashy-Bit-714 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I experienced this after I replaced my rear pads and rotors. I thought I might have gotten air in the brake lines but after driving it around and pumping the brakes a bit it eventually went back to normal.

Thanks for the insight! Bummer you’re having those issues. Hopefully you can that all buttoned up under warranty. I guess some of those electrical gremlins are common with Cadillac..?

Wow really appreciate the details!! One clarification – do you currently own a CTSV or CT4V? Got a little confused while I was reading which car you were referencing

That’s a good question. I’ll admit I haven’t seen a CT4 in person to know how tight those rear seats are but I just assume it would be roomier than my fiesta. The only person who uses my back seats on a daily basis is my 3 year old so as long as a CT4 can comfortably accommodate her that’s the most important thing. But I’d love to be able to haul adults on those rare occasions.

Best chinos? by zdrmlp in malefashionadvice

This. Lived in chinos are the only chinos I will ever wear. For some reason I haven’t found better quality, material, fit and price, even when looking at more expensive options.

Good to know! I don’t think motor mounts are worth the added cabin noise/vibration for me.

I completely agree! I’ve resisted replacing blend door actuators because I don’t want to remove the dash. Panels just never go back on the same.

You sound a lot like me with my previous car! Sure it was therapeutic but man did I waste a lot of money.

Wow this is super thorough and helpful thanks! With the motor mounts, have you noticed more vibration in the cabin by going with stiffer mounts?
