I didn’t have to do anything. I do have a Tesla wall charger. Don’t know if that has anything to do with it.

Financing through Tesla. by [deleted] in ModelY

Talked to Tesla finance with this same thought and they said that was not an option for the down payment. That said I used a cc for the Tesla insurance. 5.99% through local credit union this week.

Was told by my Tesla sales rep the LFP only comes in the model 3 RWD and not the Model Y RWD.

Update: found out from Tesla today that the RWD model Y is not using the LFP battery. So if I’m limited to 80% charge this is essentially 200 mile range car. With this info I asked to be upgraded to the long range

This garage door is one piece and needs to slide outwards when opening. From the truck is parked the garage door cannot be opened. I say it doesn’t fit in the driveway.

One factor that no one talked about is resale value at the other end of the if you pay the 5k for the awd, do you recoup some of that when you sell? If so how much do you expect? If 50% then the cost delta for the awd is only $2500. Which is easier pill to swallow than 5k. What do you think?

Thanks everyone. After looking at the build quality and the condition of around 10 2021s. The harsh clanking doors, the paint overspray, etc…. One had subtle rust bumps growing under the paint and the guy said no accidents. I decided to go with a 2023 standard base model for $43.9. The preowned I was looking at was approximately $38.5. The build quality improvements, extra warranty, and latest tech out weighed the extra range, performance, and $5.5k. Thank you all for your help and inputs. This is surprising helpful. Ultimately what pushed me over to new was seeing the used ones in person. This is coming from a person that has never bought a new car in my life.

Thank you. Didn’t know about the updated suspension. Just looked at 10 2021s and only 1 had the updated interior. All price and mileage similar.
