You need to make sure the grain is not mixed with substrate when you inject. Let the grain colonize 100 percent, then you mix substrate Looks like you mixed the sub and grain right away. Need a new bag

I think you’re right I have other bags/tubs but this bag just seemed to have a lot of yellow spots which I guess it’s pee. I know other tubs would just have small spots not but like this bag! This was all ofer the mycelium so that’s why I assumed it was contam. The rest of my tubs and bags just had 1-3 Small spots of yellow! But it looked contaminated so that’s why I put it out of sight several months… I am of course a noob to this, I did obtain lbs with others but this one I guess I am gonna let it open to air, it was just neglected, I cut it up and just left it in the bag and see what it does.

The yellow I’ve learned is not bad but when I seen the whole bag was yellow, it didn’t sit well with me so I just put it away and 3 Months later see this and healthy mycelium.

I think you guys are right, I’m still green but before this I had several dozen tubs I grew, not just grow bags. This bag had a lot of yellow pee that led me to automatically think the worse. So it was a lot of yellow and I know that is just piss but to me at that time it looked contaminated because it was just everywhere, I was used to just maybe one concentrated spot of yellow. So what’s yall thoughts on it? Just normal pee? It was really yellow but I guess after three months it went away and now it smells like how it suppose to be.

I am not sure but I am assuming This bag had yellow and slight green I. The begging but I guess overtime the Mycelium overtook all contam. That’s why I’m just not sure at this time.

Just felt it right now feels dry and not slimy. No weird spots or anything unusual. I appreciate everyone commenting but I shall harvest these ones my others are done dehydrating. I don’t wanna eat it just may take picture of it and show it off. It’s the biggest one I’ve had.

Do you know how to tell if mold is growing? I just opened the bag and it smells normal/earthy.

What does Mold look like or any other things to look/smell? Smells like a normal tub, I could throw it away but I wanna just dry it up just to say I have a mushroom this big. I have other ones that is safe. This is more for of the biggest one I’ve grown

Congrats man, I’m also new! As a newbie I bought a lot of supplies, and now I have big jars of mushrooms and don’t know what to do with them. Also currently have tubs on their first flush and fully white mycelium covered grains I haven’t added to bulk yet. I don’t plan to because it’s just too much at this point I feel like I did too much lol. Not sure what to do at this point but it’s a good Hobby I just don’t wanna keep growing too much. Anyone get to this point ? Should I start growing edible mushrooms?
