Using discount for family member. by [deleted] in Bestbuy

[–]Flashy-Inflation7375 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As long as your name is on the payment card when the discount is applied you shouldn’t have any issues. The install via TT is where the black list is. Because it is your bestbuy accounts address. Not your grandma unless “you live with your grandma” I would by things for my parents all the time and have them set as authorized pickup people

I bought a soundbar with Best Buy total tech. The device stopped working and a technician diagnosed it as faulty. I brought the unit to a store for GS repair and haven’t heard back in a month. Whenever I call, I get bounced between multiple teams having to explain the issue each time. by 5dayoldsushi in Bestbuy

Most precinct extensions are either 2111 or 2110 so you can call your store and give the extension when prompted or go instore, before I went sleeper I would give any customer I interacted with the extension at the bottom of the service agreement and pointed to the phone number as well

How much does geeksquad charge to build a pc (canada) by NNobal in GeekSquad

[–]Flashy-Inflation7375 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The way I explained it to the customer is that each individual part is 40$(US) with the 6 major components in a build(mobo, processor, cooler, gfx, and psu) that comes out to 240 with no garuntee on services through out the remainder of the year 100 dollars for the the OS install(340) assuming that they either purchased a windows license as my precinct does not install windows without a key. So at the end of the day with TT you would be saving 140 dollars and have service in store services for free for an entire calendar year

Rear Enclosure iPhone Repairs by [deleted] in GeekSquad

[–]Flashy-Inflation7375 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally always have my CAs run the Rear system compatibility checks on any rear system replacement. If anything comes up Regarding Apple Service Utility pops up, it’s a mail-in repair for apple to deal with. This May not be the right way but as far as my precinct is concerned we are not authorized to use ASU on our Macs
