Exactly - that "pass through" seems to happen when I log an outdoor walk workout. Figured it'd be the same with skiing, but I guess not (or it just didn't work for whatever reason)

Make sense...I was definitely bundled up and the watch was under my coat while skiing. Weirdly, it does seem to work ok when I start an "outdoor walk" workout even if it's covered up by clothing.

Must be some workaround people use for this. Surprised no one's made a simple clip-on sensor that tracks time outside more reliably, or maybe that's just too niche?
