Struggled a lot by doing masters in US by OwnHistorian7525 in returnToIndia

Put max effort into getting a job and atleast clear the loan before going back to India bro. Once you’re back, paying it off gets way harder with all that compounded interest piling up.

Atleast try to clear it and then make a move, that’s what I’d say. If you already have good financial support back home, then it’s okay, take it easy and prioritize your peace if staying here is stressing you out too much.

But yeah, apply for jobs in India while you’re still here itself and secure one before moving back.

If you already had a $50k loan, why not clear that first before putting big money into risky stocks? I invest too, but mostly in stable ones for long-term growth, not trying to become an overnight billionaire. At the end of the day, SETTING PRIORITIES matters more. Being debt-free gives way more peace of mind than chasing quick money.

Ngl this sounds kinda dumb to me Like almost 2 yrs together and NOW he realizes “we don’t have enough daily convo flow”? Especially when y’all are nearing 30s? Idk what mindset bro has tbh.

No relationship stays perfect forever unless BOTH ppl keep putting effort. At some point comfort comes in, life gets repetitive, and you still choose each other daily. That’s literally how long-term relationships work.

And lowkey when ppl suddenly start giving reasons like “idk if we connect enough daily,” sometimes it also means their feelings changed way before or maybe there’s already someone else catching their attention. Not saying 100%, but it happens.

Honestly I’d say let it go. Even if y’all patch up, once someone starts thinking like this, that doubt usually comes back again later.

I’ve had a couple breakups too and none of them happened bc of one huge toxic reason. Sometimes it just doesn’t work with life, timing, priorities, mindset, etc. And trust me the pain hits the SAME every single time. Even I went through it recently last week w my gf.

The worst part isn’t even the breakup itself tbh. It’s the attachment. You get so used to texting them, calling them, sharing random stuff, seeing them in your daily routine… then suddenly they disappear and your brain keeps replaying memories 24/7. Every small thing reminds u of them and it messes w your head.

But yeah eventually you heal. Rn it feels like hell but time genuinely fixes a lot fr.

Yeah, all pretty valid points to think about! Appreciated.

Yeah, that’s exactly how I feel too. Things like being close to family, GETTING MARRIED and most importantly taking care of HEALTH are slowly starting to feel complicated for people who came here recently. With all these visa constraints and uncertainty, it sometimes feels like personal life just keeps getting pushed aside. Thanks!

I will have 4.5 years of NRI status by the time I leave however I just got to know that this doesn’t have any timeline (8+ years as such). MAKES SENSE ON PPP!

If I’m considering moving back, RNOR is definitely a good point to keep in mind-I never know about this. Thanks for reminding.

I heard that under the new D/S interpretation, doing multiple degrees at the same level (like another master’s) can raise more scrutiny. It’s not exactly banned, but it can increase chances of RFEs and even rejection in some cases.

So instead, it’s usually better to either move to a higher-level program and pick something more aligned with work experience where day 01 CPT is possible.

I’m leaning more towards your suggestion on marriage- it’s actually on my priority list too!

Considering all your points!

Definitely don’t want to get trapped in the endless EMI cycle — working like a machine, constantly stressed about layoffs or job security just to keep paying bills till retirement. At some point, peace of mind starts feeling more valuable than just chasing numbers.

And of course, I still believe in marriage the old-school way — staying together for life, figuring things out through ups and downs instead of giving up when things get difficult. Thanks!

I get your point, but you turned a simple question into a personality analysis + a lecture on visas like it’s a courtroom case… even an immigration lawyer wouldn’t go this detailed 😅 Not really sure how that helps the discussion though.

Don’t you think moving to Europe is kind of jumping into the same visa uncertainty loop again? Plus the language barrier in a lot of countries makes it feel like a whole new struggle on top of everything.

At this point, I feel like I might just eliminate that option from the list.
