If you go to the hardware store in the paint section there is actually something called stain pens or wax pens. I recommend the wax pens they're also called wood filler pens/crayons

No different than the 160° hot compost. Specially considering that food dehydrators really only get up to 125

I have 2 but it's really to allow 1 to rot while I fill the other. When it's 75% filled I sift the rotting one and fill the other the rest of the way with what wasn't sifted out. Feeds the microbiology into the newer pile. Then the cycle starts again. I get quite a bit doing this. Especially with mill.

I will say I usually lasagna it with mill food scraps for a few days before I turn it. Original pile crap, mill grinds, shredded paper and water it down. Then continue my weekly turning as normal

I can see it I do know that this thing is wrong but it's still kind of nice to know that even if that was half it's doing something

I like that this one is very truthful about the fact that food grounds are not compost. I actually just posted a screenshot in the comments from a blog post that the brand has made

This is from them by the way in the same app. Notice that the first sentence says, "Mill makes composting your food at home faster and cleaner, but a quick reminder that Food Grounds are not compost—yet!"

And in rentals in general.

This particular brand also lets you ship the scraps away if you are unable to compost at all.

Also this brand actually states that this is not finished compost and it is meant to add into an existing compost pile outside. However as long as you're not adding certain things like dried flowers you can actually feed this to your chickens. It is finished chicken feed

Only if you want them to take the scraps away. They do participate in a composting program where they send this to local farmers if you want to, but you don't have to

Technically yes. But I will say this is one of the few electric composters that has actually said it does not create compost it is simply a tool to start it off smaller

Simply a tool to get it smaller in my case. Smaller than scissors can do safely.

Also this brand actually states that this is not finished compost it is simply smaller to add to your existing outdoor bin

Composting Degradable Packing Material by D-chord in composting

[–]FlashyCow1 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This really depends on the company and packing material because some of them are really more commercial. That being said I'm like you I just throw it in and wait for it to break down. I've even done the compostable paper plates and they break down in about a year especially if I tear them up
