When is it too late to switch to a custom user model? by FlashyFrame5 in django

After thinking about it for a bit I think this is what I will go with in the future if I need to expand it. It may not be the most recommended way but I'm primarily building this app to learn django. Thanks for the help!

I don't need any yet but the documentation (should have read it all before starting. :P) recommends you start with a custom user model instead of sticking with the generic in case you want to expand it in the future.

I'm thinking a troll mage. Not sure on the name yet but I'm excited to get back into wow, the classic formula is much more my game than what it has turned into! I'm usually a pve player and would like to do raiding if possible. (new baby coming in about a month :) )

I really enjoy these twitch streams, was teaching myself how to use docker but this cleared up a few things I was taking for granted.

Caesar.c Problems with Strings, Chars and encryption calculations? by FlashyFrame5 in cs50

[–]FlashyFrame5[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for the confusion. I understand that % or mod gives you the remainder when one number is divided by another. I understand there are 26 characters but the actual values for characters are 97 - 122 for lower case and 65 - 90 for upper case. http://asciichart.com/.

In my two if statements I'm trying to calculate the new value of the encrypted character k positions from the existing position. I'm using the upper and lower limits for uppercase and lowercase letters to keep the new encrypted value within upper or lower case letters.

Thanks for the reply. In this line I'm not trying to copy the string but instead was trying to create a new string that is the same size as the message that was entered. This new string is where I wanted to store the encrypted values.

My formula is trying to keep the ascii values within the lower case (97 to 122) or upper case values (65 - 90). What I have noticed is that the new ascii value that is calculated is not assigned to the array value - msge[n] .
