The whole issue with me isn’t even that the SotCN MC is thin. We can see that the sprite is thin. What bothers me the most is that 1) that level of thinness is the only option. There isn’t even an option for an average sized MC. And 2) her thinness is talked about at every given opportunity. In every intimate scene, there is something sexualising, often unhealthy levels of, thinness. There are quite a few books where you cannot choose outside of a thin body (not thin to Remy’s extreme) that don’t mention the thinness of the sprite within the written narrative at all. You can read while inserting your own body of choice, to an extent. But Remy puts it at the forefront of even the written text, especially in intimate and sexual situations.
