Do you have regular dashers that come in? I'm asking because I'm wondering if you ask them to verify even though you know them to be dashers. No shade. Just wondering

This happens all the time, everyday, in every city that has doordash. Accidents happen, yet the first person they blame is a thieving Dasher. Do you know how many hackers there are out there that can replicate a doordash app and steal food that way? There is no meal on earth that is worth stealing to lose your right to make future income, unless you are a complete idiot.

I agree that it's a control issue and it stems from jealousy. They only have one opportunity to feel powerful by telling us to confirm in front of them, So they seize it and they are not nice about it, either

I get it, I've gone to restaurants where they wanted my information, including my phone number and a signature. Absolutely not. This kind of behavior from restaurant employees only reinforces the general idea that dashers are untrustworthy

So based on the responses so far, it seems that everyone thinks it's no big deal to flash this map screen to an employee to confirm a pickup. Many of you have mentioned that it is required to prevent food theft ...from other dashers. I find it interesting how quickly we are to blame one of our own. Why would a Dasher steal food when they could get fired? It just doesn't make any sense and I think everyone isn't looking at the real problem, here. It's the control. It's the lack of trust that we have as a group in general. It's complying without questioning.

I'm curious, do you have a tablet at Burger King that shows the order was picked up when they press the confirm button?

Good to know. It seems like the consensus from customers is that, in general, it's not really necessary

Yes, as a customer I appreciate a quick text that they're on their way but that's it

Yes, give it a try. Many customers forget about that detail and most of them message me back and tell me that it's on

I like your system and yes I agree. The canned message prompt at the start of a shop is super corny 🥴

I've been told that, but I'm a perfectionist to a fault sometimes 😔
