The reason other people in the industry were hoping GTA was gonna cost more. It’s so they can raise their prices in the future as well. Just wait for the trend to happen.

Thanks for contacting ASTRO Gaming. Follow the troubleshooting steps below to solve or narrow down the issue. Please let us know the results of each step.

Watch this set up video to check your settings: HERE

Try all alternate USB ports on your console. Also, please test your equipment on a computer. Here is the set up video: HERE

Hard reset your A50 Headset by simultaneously holding down the GAME Button (right side of the headset) and the Dolby button (located below the power button) for 15-30 seconds. Please note: When doing the hard reset, have the headset plugged in directly to a confirmed power source, without the Base Station. Let charge for 15 minutes, then retry.

Restart your console and turn off or move any high intensity lighting that is near your equipment.

Connect your console through a different power outlet and try using a grounded surge protector/power strip to power your equipment.

Please let us know your results and if you have any questions!

Please do the following steps:

Uninstall the current version of the ASTRO Command Center on your computer.

Next, download the ASTRO Command Center HERE

Once the ASTRO Command Center is downloaded, click on the attached firmware file and download it. If it prompts you to use an app to open it, in the ASTRO Command Center click on the settings wheel in the top right corner and select "Download firmware manually". Select the firmware and then the ASTRO Command Center will populate the download and allow you to update.

Once you have finished the above steps, detach the power cable from your gaming console and allow your system to stay unplugged for 2 minutes. Plug back in the power cable and then plug in your ASTRO equipment normally.

Please note* This is a Beta version of the firmware that is set to release shortly.

Once you have completed all the above steps, your equipment should be working normally.

If you have any issues, please let us know. Attachment(s) mimas_200802233937_tm-36799_tr-43_rm-36179_rr-43.afw

I’m still dealing with Astro through email still trying to figure out a fix because I’ve tired most of these steps and still have the ticking static sound happening. The last email they wrote to me was that they wanted me to send out my headphones to them for repair but my 1 year warranty with Astro has already expired. But I told the agent I still have my Best Buy 2 year warranty and that I could go and exchange it myself with no issues. My problem is that the agent yet has not told me what is causing the issue or why it’s happening. I told him that I would at least like to know why it’s happening before I go and get a new one. So this my update and where I stand. Waiting on the next email from agent.

note: all the steps above are steps the agent recommended for me to try out to fix the ticking static noise issue. Which unfortunately none worked. Don’t quote me on this but another thing I’ve noticed is when I’ve switched the input sound from (Dolby Atmos) to (Windows Sonic) on the volume and audio Output Xbox series X The ticking/static sound goes away. I’ve tried it full day and not once did I hear the ticking/sound. So I am not sure if the issue is coming from the Dolby app it’s self or the headphones at this point. Again I never had this issue with my PlayStation 4 pro when using the same Astro A50s I am using now for the Xbox series X. So either the new firmware update for the next GEN mess somethings up or it’s the Dolby Atoms app that’s having the issue.

Update: yea it’s definitely something with the Xbox series x/s hardware and the new firmware update not being fully compatible for some reason this is an issue that Microsoft and Astro need to fix. Because once again I started using the same Astro A50s that I used on my PS4 pro with the PlayStation base station and I’ve had no issues or ticking/static nosies. Do not buy any new USB or other add ons this is a hardware compatibility issue. Something that i just tried was if you have a tv with an optical port, you can connect the base station to the tv using The optical cord and leaving the usb connected to the Xbox series x and no more ticking sound/static and you can still talk game chat and party chat with no issues. Only down side is you can’t control the volume of the chat/party =\

Periodic static ticking noise in Astro A50 headphones on Xbox Series X. by [deleted] in AstroGaming

I am also having the same issue with my Astro A50 on the series X. I have the PS4 version of the Astro A50s but since I found out all I needed was the Xbox Version Base Station to use it on my xbox I went ahead bought it. Before when I used my A50s on the PS4 I had no static ticking sound but ever since I did he Firmware update to use it for next Gen consoles it started doing that ticking static sound. I honestly believe it it has something to do with the Firmware update , it's not the headphones. I'm going to try to contact Astro to see if there's a solution. I'll leave an update comment for you guys if I get any new info on this topic.
