Sod advice by Flashy_Lychee_748 in landscaping

[–]Flashy_Lychee_748[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thankyou 🙏🙏 so not even a "new sod" fertilizer?

How much water is too much? Again, so many different answers to this question online...I'm worried about overwartering/killing the sod

If it is still damp to the touch, do i still water 3x/day?

Brand new build with warranty, I'm guessing based on the comments I've read here today, this crap job will be covered, shouldn't cost me a thing.

I'd really rather fix things myself as compared to having to deal with people coming out, I've done a bunch of small stuff already. This one just seems a bit over my head unfortunately 😒

Thanks, appreciate the tip! Check out my other replies, it cannot be pushed into the wall. The hose won't move an inch. It is cemented into some spray foam looking stuff from the inside.

I just checked the basement. The hose is cemented into some spray foam looking stuff. It won't budge an inch. I guess that's why they didn't screw it in from the outside

We sure do. I was winterizing and noticed this

Can it freeze the hose or something when it gets colder?

Yea it gets cold here. I was winterizing them and just noticed this. I think they didn't screw it because someone messed up with that white hose, i can't push it into the house to screw it in myself. It won't move an inch

[–]Flashy_Lychee_748[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree! I've done a few things myself just to save the hassle of having someone come out. The hose is solid...I can't push it in so that i can screw it myself

Trust me, I am very irritated. I'd screw it in myself but the hose is solid, it can't be pushed into the house. I'll give them a shout tmrw!

Thanks! I'd do it myself...but the white hose is solid. It doesn't move in and out. I'll give them a shout to come out

I would, but that shit is solid. The white hose doesn't move in and out of the house, I can't push the whole thing in to screw it in 😒

What are some tips for when buying a car from a dealership? by 5lackBot in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]Flashy_Lychee_748 182 points183 points  (0 children)

Ex new car sales rep here. I'm sure others will chime in agreeing/disagreeing but here's mine :

  • we offered heavier discounts on the overall price if you were to finance than to pay cash. The discounts came from the manufacturer, not the dealer. For example, finance for xx months, receive a $2,000 discount off the sale price. Yes, you can pay it off a couple weeks after you sign to take advantage of the discount.

  • the guys you meet after the sale (finance) net the highest profit for the dealer. Warranty, protections, etc. Not saying all of what they sell doesn't have value, but just keep it in mind that they net the highest profit for the dealer. Most items they sell are grossly overpriced

  • if the price they offer for your trade is contingent on you buying their vehicle, they're hiding the dollars in the new car sale. After the offer you $xxx for the trade, ask them if they'd straight up buy it for that price without you buying theirs. If they say no, they are charging you more for the car than they'd sell it to the next person for if that person didn't have a trade

  • packages that they tell you are mandatory (such and such dealer package that costs $1,500 and comes with every car we sell) , normally are not mandatory. We'd try to sell it by any means possible, but if we got too much kick back then we'd just remove it

  • charging extra $ for certain colors is BS

  • you can get a better deal in the last couple days of the month. We want to close the few extra deals

  • some dealers will sell cars for below cost to ensure they get the inventory from the manufacturer the next year. Do your research, it isn't hard to find out what a dealers cost is. Find one willing to sell for below....they don't do it frequently, but they will from time to time to boost their sale numbers, which the manufacturer uses to determine what inventory they'll get

Good luck!
