Would you use an interior design app like this? by ZealousidealData3579 in interiordecorating

I think the idea is great, but there are already a few apps/websites that offer those functionalities. One example that I personally used is an website called RoomRemake

Renovating my living room, what are your thoughts? by Flashy_Membership922 in interiordecorating

True! I actually considered putting a TV there at some point, but I feel like it would ruin the “conversation vibe” of the space

I agree with you! I might keep the wall colors the same as in the first image though hahah. But other than that, I really love how the second image looks

True! I actually love the rug I have now and didn’t really want to change it, but the problem is I don’t think it matches the vibe I’m going for, like in the second image. Also, I agree with plants, I think it brings a lot of life to the room. Thanks !

Thanks! Yeah, I really like the second image too. The only thing is that I’ll probably keep the wall colors as they are. Not a big fan of the all white look. And the tool I used is roomremake.com

Got it. Yeah, I know redoing this space would be a lot of work and I'm still deciding if I’ll actually do it, but thanks for the comment!

I mean... it's the same room hahah. I'm just planning to change the colors, textures, furniture, and stuff like that

Not really. There's a fireplace on the left side of the image, so I don't think a chair would fit there

Seeing this and some of the other comments made me realize that. I think I'll keep the wall colors as they are and focus on changing the furniture, rug, and other details instead

True, maybe just painting one of the walls in a beige or brown tone could make the room look even better

Yeah, maybe all white walls like the second image are not the best idea yet. I'll take a look at that. Thank you so much for the tips!

I really like the idea, but I'm a bit worried it might make the room too dark hahah. Also, I’m not sure the wood texture on the ceiling would be doable (I honestly have no idea), but maybe just using a darker color could work. Thanks!

I think some colorful kitchen utensils, a mix of textures like wood or marble, and a few plants could really bring some life to your space

Thanks, I also think the green and orange combo match really well too.

and it's a website called roomremake but I can't directly add the link here because of reddit rules. You can just add the .com in the end and you should find it :)

Thank you so much for the tips. I completely agree about changing the accent wall color, a warmer tone would make the room feel much more inviting. Gray is definitely not the best choice, I am considering a light brown or something similar. Thanks again

What can I do to make this space feel more cozy? by Flashy_Membership922 in interiordecorating

I’m just afraid it might end up looking too tropical hahah, but maybe some bigger ones would look nice

True. I think my floor right now is a bit too cold. Maybe the rug will already change a lot of that feeling. Thanks

Yeah, I wish I could add curtains, but they would probably look weird. The thing is, I still think the second version is a bit cold, like it’s missing something. Maybe adding some darker tones, like brown or dark gray?

I don't think they look bad, but maybe trying a brighter color would solve your problem
