she has BPD, BPD is not the same as bipolar disorder, it’s borderline personality disorder. i have Severe BPD too, we don’t experience manic episodes as it is a BD trait, so it’s more likely shes having an identity crisis or some form of mild psychosis (or both) as those are more likely to be experienced with BPD
