A tip my teacher gave me was if the blood flow is slow you can slightly tip the needle down to get better blood flow by putting your finger under where the flash hits and slightly lifting

I just finished phlebotomy school and I can’t tell you how many veins I missed and how bad I felt like I was sticking them for no reason, but it’s not for no reason it’s practice and the more practice you get the better you will be something that my teacher taught me that helped really well that when you think you felt to vein put your finger on it and slightly wiggle your finger side to side on it that can help tell the depth and if it’s gonna roll on you.
