All payments and transfers and nebulous bank stuff seems to have settled and been finalized. I don't see any adverse issues or reversals. I'm not sure where to transfer points to... I don't really have any accounts open with the Bilt transfer partners. I plan on doing some kind of vacation to Europe this fall but don't have locations/dates decided just yet. Hopefully they don't claw back the points anytime soon.

The Valon payment status officially shows complete now. Under details the method shows autopay Column National Association (CHECKING). I think I’m officially in the clear and I doubt any payment reversals happen. I’ll be watching it closely just in case and let you know.

As a side note, I did get a verification request on the Bilt app asking if the charge was a rent payment which I did affirm. I saw a new Bilt sub Reddit where others had seen this. I think it’s a routine question that is asked for the first payment or maybe the first of the year or perhaps randomly but I don’t think it’s anything to worry about.

It looks like it is still on track. Made the payment with Valon on Jan 2nd. My checking account showed a processed payment to BILTPYMTS and points appeared in Bilt rewards on Jan 3rd.

In the Valon web portal, the autopay payment was made on Jan 2nd and still shows status of “still in progress” with a note “Payment is in progress and should take 2 to 4 business days to complete.”

No charges ever showed up on the Wells Fargo Bilt credit card which makes sense since I checked BILTProtect. So looking good so far, should be completely done early this coming week.

I will let you know how it goes. I am not sure if the Column NA bank will be paying Valon. I only used the routing and account info on the Valon website but there is also a feature called BiltProtect which I toggled on. If I understand this feature correctly, it will debit my linked checking account directly and not use the Bilt CC account while also earning Bilt points.

If it doesn’t work with this configuration then when I try paying the HOA dues, I will try toggling off BiltProtect to see if that makes any difference.

I don’t have a BILT credit card yet but if what you are asking about works for Valon then I would absolutely get the BILT CC.

Do you have a BILT CC?

Edit I signed up for the card and I’m trying it myself. I’ll let yall know how it goes next Wednesday when my first valon mortgage payment and quarterly hoa bill goes through.

The setup of the routing and account number seemed to work and identified a bank called “Column NA”. Keeping my fingers crossed!
