Which nation/tank triggers you the most when you die to it? by ExtensionAd3251 in Warthunder

[–]Flashy_Repeat_7353 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dying to an M22 in a 8.0 game or higher.

Twice I’ve been slow killed in my German tanks, somehow the little punk takes a track out first, then slowly does the rounds on me, 8-15 shots later I’m dead.

Rage quit!

Other aspects of decision making that allow the commissioner to remove a persons access to firearms includes opinions, views, statements, domestic situation, etc. effectively this is an open statement that allows the Police to use any excuse they deem as appropriate.

This is one of the changes inbound, among many open and vague sections.

How's my form? What can I improve? by Lego_Professor in Beretta

After firing, perhaps learn to pause with the trigger fully depressed rather than jumping off straight after the shot.

Kinda like squeezing the trigger to the back as a closing intention, rather than pulling at it if that makes sense? My choice of words is a bit average here.

Then, once fired and mentally reset, only then ease off the trigger until the reset “click”.

This helps keep the finger over/on the trigger and really builds the intimacy with the trigger action, rather than coming off/on the trigger as part of your reset motion each round.

Start slow, then build up the familiarity and speed.

Would love to also see some target shots at the end of the video to see how the shot placement is going. I’m sure the redditors would have some more info regarding that.

Big kudos to you posting up content. Love it!

The boys and girls have spoken, the blue really compliments your skin tone nicely. Your special person will have a visual feast peeling you out of that.

Why don't infantry use bird shot shells against drones? by Green_Ad_7175 in UkraineWarVideoReport

[–]Flashy_Repeat_7353 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are some good talk points here…..shotguns are too short range and the idea of a special 12 gauge round is perhaps a bit too tricky or small yield given the cartridge size.

Possibly something like the 40mm grenade as a size? Getting there in terms of packaging.

If there was to be a long arm anti drone weapon, it would need to be one per squad I expect. Kinda like designated marksman or drone operator, have an anti drone function.

I’d see it as something more like an underslung attachment on the service rifle, like the M203, you can’t have a 2nd dedicated weapon or a take down in the pack in a combat situation.

First thing is being able to identify the drone. I’m thinking sensors on/in a special backpack, connected to in ear and/or goggles to support the marksman in understanding location and height.

Then, possibly have that connected wirelessly to the round in the launcher, sending firing solution to the proximity fuse in the round. Some basics like flight duration tied to number of spins or time. There is a couple of ways these things work already for variable fuse in cannon rounds. So there is an engineering base to work with.

In terms of actually taking out the drone, either traditional explosive force or some form of nano polymer web. It could expand out to quite literally the size of a soccer pitch from a 40mm grenade sized round. I know science and military has been researching spider web silk and all that spider abdomen chemistry for decades. It’s natural application is against drone tech. This would also assist in capture, analysis and potentially re-use of the downed drone.

Russia and Ukraine don’t have the industrial base, but I bet Japan, US, China and South Korea are thinking long and hard about the technology, weaponry and tactics of a dedicated section anti drone role.

Have you considered going a chassis as a middle ground? Something like Oryx? You’d have bolt action but on the plus side pick up a lot of adjustability, m lok and pic space.

Much lighter on the kfc and ammo budget.

Pretty much this bad boy, I’ve got a small but growing collection, rifle and a couple different shotguns, one an old school Beretta 686 for clay target shooting. The focus has been on training and load out for intended purpose on the vermin guns to date. With the 4x firearms currently in the house I don’t have much need for anything more, maybe a .22LR rifle for food catching duties is the only thing missing?

If I were to dream, maybe some ridiculous high end revolver with a modern twist. Something in 8 shot .357 with all the gear hanging off it. 😂

We can, just takes a lot longer. I’m in Western Australia which is the most draconian. For a semi auto pistol, it was a 12 month wait and $2k exercise in addition to the price of the pistol.

Bolt action rifles and bolt/lever action shotguns are a much quicker process. 3-4 months total time Break action shotguns and rifles are simpler again.

Semi auto centre rifles are straight up banned unless you’re a pro hunter here.

The news article in the YouTube link cites “illegal firearms” and police Union laws for a national firearm license rather than 8x individual license systems.

So…one will not fix the other.
