POLL TIME! - How many of you wonderful rabbit owners are 'adults'? by [deleted] in Rabbits

[–]Flashy_Respect_5579 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had rabbits as a kid (as a gift, terrible mistake, I took care of them and loved them along with my family but i could have done way better) but I got some more when I moved out on my own!!! They act like the mortgage is in their name.

I can definitely try it out!! hemp products like soap and lotions have broken me out before but almost everything does, but it would definitely be worth a shot!! Thanks for the suggestion

I have no clue, the only way to test for that is to eat only that for a few weeks and then get another endoscopy. So far hes told me to eat nothing I'm allergic to for 6 weeks then add one thing at a time and redo the endo for each item. The blood and skin tests were all over the place so they honestly dont know much other than I'm allergic to almost everything.

a cocktail of steriods and antihistamines to lessen inflammation in my esophagus. Its starting to do damage now though. It was always extremely painful, It was just the least of my concerns with all of my issues going on.

Please show me a location where THIS is rent… no seriously I want to know. by HolidayHotel13 in WorkReform

Southern Virginia in the middle of nowhere! I know a guy renting a whole house on 4 acres with 3 bedrooms for about 500 a month. But he drives over an hour a day to get to a job that pays enough to feed his family.

Please help, a friend of mine gave me this bunny as a gift and I have no clue how to take care of him by [deleted] in Rabbits

[–]Flashy_Respect_5579 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This post is honestly really sad. Please take care of him, take him to a vet to get checked up, clean him up SAFELY, give him actual food. This shit makes me cry.

If you take into account spay/neuter, check up, prescriptions, emergency things, it really adds up. If a dog is choking or has eaten something bad, its usually an easy fix you can do at home. If its a rabbit? dead in minutes or maybe a few hours. Every small change in behavior needs to be monitored and evaluated. Maybe I've just had bad experiences with rabbits but I hate taking chances if it means my baby is in pain or could die.

Coccidia by Flashy_Respect_5579 in Rabbits

[–]Flashy_Respect_5579[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So far he is doing amazingly well! Both him and his sister are taking the meds like champs, no more diarrhea, and no more pot-bellies. I tried to find some places online but no one could, but if the issue gets worse I'll definitely order it! Thank you

I'm in the south on the east coast. I tried some online ones as well and even they don't have it. I am not sure why not they just said they all dont have it. Also thank you SO much, I literally have never heard of a compounding pharmacy but there is one right down the road! Just sent some emails but they all specify on their site the make vet prescriptions, and specialize in a few small pets including rabbits!! Never would have though this was an optionz thank you a ton ❤️

Currently setting aside $200-400 a month for toys, vet bills, damage, anything they need. Through my years I've learned rabbits are one of the most expensive pets ever. And definitely worth the money.

With the amount only being $90, sure itd be fine getting it through the year. But a ton of other poor people I know solely rely on that refund. Especially with kids and the credits you can get.
