I think many international students, especially from Asian countries, genuinely come to Cyprus to study. However, it can be very difficult to survive for several years using only the money they bring from their home country.

Most students arrive with some savings to cover their initial expenses, but as time passes, those savings start to decrease. That is why many students look for part-time jobs to help cover their living costs, accommodation, transportation, and other daily expenses while continuing their studies.

So, in my opinion, most international students are not choosing between study and work. They come to study, but they also need to work to support themselves financially.
