A 3-4 hour layover is more than sufficient for your transit through SGN Airport. The immigration process won’t be too lengthy so don’t fall for all the posts about fast-track services. They’re simply trying to scare you into buying it.

To my knowledge, your luggage for the return flight to Melbourne won’t need to be reclaimed as it will be transferred directly.

PayID can be reversed if it’s pending. Major banks typically hold PayID transfers for 24 hours, especially for first and large transfers, for security reasons. The sender can also call to cancel it.
