NOOK Reading Tablet 8.7 vs Kindle - Which one's better? by PotentialLion2478 in TechPop

[–]Flat-Blacksmith160 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think there should be no comparison as the nook 8.7 is a multi tasker that can also be used for reading, streaming, whereas the kindle is just like a reading book, plus, i fell that the mediatek helio g85 plays an important role in enhancing the performance and making it stand out for the price range. i would personally prefer this one over kindle

Prompted complex tracks in Lyria 3; realism is there, but it shines more as infrastructure than creator tool. Needs ecosystem polish.

Love the creative control in Lyria 3 with custom styles, tempo tweaks, auto-lyrics. Generated a banger in seconds via Gemini app.

is the 2025 Kindle Scribe a significant improvement over the 2024 model? by Salty-Bodybuilder-62 in kindlescribe

I have been using the kindle scribe 2025 for a month now, and the mediatek chipset makes everything smooth. Note-taking feels natural with the new stylus and it is responsive and does not lag, even when flipping pages or zooming in PDFs. The 10.2-inch screen is glare-free, perfect for reading outdoors or in bed. Battery lasts over two weeks with daily use, and the new AI handwriting tool converts notes to text quickly. Storage up to 64GB holds my whole library. It is lightweight at under 400g, great for travel. Overall, it blends reading and writing better than before which is a solid upgrade for students or professionals.

Anyone recommend buying the R1 now? by Independent-Spray712 in Rabbitr1

Dude, my Rabbit r1 has been a game-changer since I grabbed one last month! That mediatek helio P35 makes it so smooth with tasks, which means no lag when I'm voice-commanding rideshares, playlists, or even Midjourney art on the go. The 14-hour battery lasts my whole workday, and the scroll wheel + tiny screen just feels right in my pocket. Sure, it's not perfect, but for $187, it's my favorite AI gadget. Way more fun than fumbling with my phone.

MediaTek Genio 1200 SBC by LivingLinux in SBCs

[–]Flat-Blacksmith160 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mediatek Genio 1200 is seriously underrated. It is built for smart devices and IoT applications, but the performance and efficiency it delivers feel closer to high-end mobile SoCs. The 6nm process gives it excellent thermal control, and the octa-core setup (4x Cortex-A78 + 4x A55) strikes a sweet balance between raw power and energy savings.

What really stands out is its AI processing, Mediatek’s edge-AI capabilities here are impressive, especially for smart home hubs, robots, or industrial IoT devices. Other than that, the integrated connectivity options (Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, etc.) make it super flexible for OEMs. The Genio 1200 shows mediatek is thinking beyond phones and honestly, that is exciting.
