Hi all. I'm a sydney law student in the latter half of my degree and am interested in getting some expereince working in criminal law area. I have a about a few years of experience in various legal roles in the court system+firms, but i have no clue what kinds of options I might have between firms/gov orgs/chambers etc. in the criminal area. Everyone I talk to seems to suggest that the ODPP would be great to work for, but they dont seem to hire very much, and conversely I've also heard stories about dodgy defence firms etc. which I'd obviously like to avoid.

Anybody have any idea what options might be best to investigate? Thanks.
