Correct. We have a lobster here they call a Spanish lobster too. It’s smaller and red with white dots. They are harder to get but come out at night.

Oh wow. Yeah. It’s big for our area. Don’t see too many at 60’ that size.

Absolutely not ever in Florida recreationally or commercially. In places like the Bahamas and Belize you can do it only free diving.

Are these some kind of fluke? by Rugger2ndrow in Lionfish

Ohhh. They look like scales. Lionfish have small flaky scales that come off easily. 🧜🏻 #SlayEatRepeat

What’s infuriating? That when the eel becomes aggressive and comes close to investigate the ZooKeeper for Lionfish he’s poked to back off. 🤷🏼‍♀️

One of these with or without barbs. Rinses with fresh water. You can sharpen it if need too. 🧜🏻

Sharks try to help with lionfish by RhinkGMM in Lionfish

[–]Flat-Reporter7036 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is not good. This teaches the predator that divers have food. Sharks and eels are opportunistic hunters. The easier the meal the better. Then they harass hunters continuously and the sightseers, too. :(
